Go Intel, not AMD.
Statistically, we see a lot more problems here on AMD systems. That's not because they make "bad" product - it's because AMD's market is gaming. That's where they direct all their efforts, and that doesn't always play well with Photoshop and graphics applications.
Don't worry too much about benchmarks. Any decent CPU will be fast enough for Photoshop. The fact is, Photoshop is not very CPU intensive. The GPU is much more important, along with a fast high capacity disk setup.
You want components that work together, in a balanced system. That's the main priority. It usually pays to pick components that have been on the market for six months or so, then the wrinkles will have been ironed out.

That doesnt seem to work. Here's what I am doing- a picture of a man sitting on a stool with a background. I drew a path, same as I have done since 1990, around the man with the pen tool. Saved the path. clicked on the path name in the path windown. Hit "Make selection" on the path... I could like to copy/past the man to a new image. or even delete the background and the selection is inverted each time. Combine shape doesnt work. Keep in mind I have been using photoshop since 1990 and am not some Newbi

@Conrad_C Thank you so much for your helpful comments. I really appreciate the link that will enable me to access my Photoshop preference files. It's so scary when I get the new build and not having my Photoshop filters and plugins and having to install them from scratch.

Hello @arine98A6, Thank you for your message. I am sorry you are having this problem. These questions and answers are from the document: Everything you wanted to know about Favourites in Adobe Firefly:
Q: I cannot find my favourites! What happened to them?
A: Are you using the same browser on the same computer where you favourited them? Because they are stored in the browser cache, you can only access a favourite in the same browser on the computer or mobile device it was favourited on.
Q: I am using the same browser and all my favourites disappeared. It is the same browser on the same computer. Can I get them back?
A: Unfortunately, if you are using the same browser on the same computer and they are no longer there, they are most likely gone forever. This could happen if, for example, you cleared your cache in the browser, used a utility program that claims to clean up space on your computer (which frequently includes deleting the browser cache), or ran out of disk space (causing the browser to delete them).
I said "most" likely, because there are steps you can take to rewind your cache if you had already been backing it up, but most people do not do that. My primary platform is Mac and I back my browser cache up with Time Machine on the Mac, so I can go backwards in time and restore my cache from a point in time. This has saved me a few times when something was deleted from my cache and I was able to roll the cache and settings back a day. If Windows was my primary platform, I could do something similar on it.
My best, droopy

If you are on a Mac and don't have a right-click button, the old method of Ctrl+Click from when we had a one button mouse continues to work as the equivalent of a right-click.
Note that it's Ctrl+Click, not Cmd+Click.

I've had the same issue as @Jeff Arola . It happened to me after sending an Error report to Adobe, after clicking Send Report, a dialog pops-up that says Adobe has found a solution with the suggestion to Click here, it went to a generic trouble shooting page and doesn't say anything about the specific cause of the crash. In my case it was when I was in Camera Raw filter in Photoshop. I had just upgraded to Camera Raw to 16.1. It's been fine ever since.

Was it just two days ago I was saying that we didn't know when the next full release update would go live? The irony is that Adobe had already started rolling out V25.2.0 and it has given us back the original Adjustment Layer icon size, and it has the option to turn off Layer Mask badges. Both these features were there in the 25.3 beta version.

@JasperGoodallYes, Lumenzia can convert BlendIf (including this, under, or both) into a layer mask. It's helpful for both refinement as well as just learning more about how BlendIf works. Just ctrl/cmd-click the "Mask" button in the plugin (the tooltip for the button mentions this as a reference). https://gregbenzphotography.com/lumenzia You can learn more in the plugin by clicking "?" and "Mask" for a demo, or via the written manual (which can be found under the flyout menu at top-right of Lumenzia).

I was ensuring all my plugin filters were in the Adobe Ps Common Files folder. From whenever that was instituted it ensured my filters carried forward (yes, Flood could sometimes still go rogue...). It was so nice not to have to go back to the previous year's implementation and have to manually cut then paste into the newer folder hierarchy. I would hope the Adobe devs haven't jettisoned that design. Your backup 'tidy' folder sounds like a good insurance policy if they, sadly, did change approach to an older, less elegant one for users to cope with.

I feel certain that I have logged this issue previously at least once but here goes again. I have until recently had access to firefly and have used it to create several dozen images. Now though when I try to use the web-app, I land on a blank page and nothing happens. The issue persists in Chrome & Firefox.
