Writing to say this is STILL an issue in March 2021. I have to restart my iMac several times throughout the day just to maintain InDesign's shortcut functionality, but the fix is only temporary. What Foggy1989 described in their post is exactly the issues I'm facing. I have the latest macOS, everything is updated, I've tried reinstalling InDesign, reinstalling CC, deleting preferences, removing browser extensions, all of it.  To be honest, none of us should have to jump through all of these hoops just to restore InDesign's core functionality. Why hasnt a patch or update been released in the two years since this thread was created to fix this problem? Hi there, Thanks for reaching out. As per your query, shortcuts with modifier keys don't work. This has been seen recently on macOS where Wacom tablet or pen is installed. Are you using the Wacom tablet? If yes, please try the following steps: Check the keyboard shortcuts without Wacom. If that works, kindly update the drivers to the latest version (6.3.34-2) If drivers are already up to date then disconnect the Wacom from MAC. Uninstall and Reinstall the Wacom driver. Once the drivers are installed then restart the computer (In this process Adobe apps should be closed) When the system is restarted, kindly connect Wacom with Mac computer and check the functionality using Wacom or Pen. People using InDesign's personalization feature (or an advanced solution like the XMPie-plugin) to generate serial letters or mailings will for sure not want to use your workaround.
