Can people coming across this thread with the same issue please upvote it so Adobe sees how critical this is?   I have personally lost hundreds of dollars in wasted work on this already. I'm turning tasks down because of this error. Downgrading to 2024 does not fix the problem. It still freezes in the exact same situations, just without an error message.   It seems to work okay if I unplug my second monitor, but because of my specific setup that means I can't have audio. Oh, and if you do try turning off your second monitor, make sure you close Premiere and After Effects first, because if not - you guessed it - you'll get another crash 😄 ... View more

I have now encountered the same error a couple of times with Premiere Pro as well. After Effects is crashing my PC close to 20 times a day depending on how much I need it that particular day. Usually works for about 5-15 minutes before it crashes again. Almost always when switching focus to a different program. I have downgraded to version 24, reset preferences and deleted plugins. Switched to the 2024 version and it's still happening, just without the Error code. The machine just freezes and then restarts, in the same cases as before (Usually has to do with switching focus from AE to my browser or explorer).   I am literally unable to do huge parts of my job (The one I need to keep doing to put food on the table and in my son's belly) and I'm still paying. It is now the end of 2024 and this is still an issue.   My time with Character Animator has been absolutely miserable and the software is in such a buggy state that I think even charging for it is bordering on irresponsible. Every issue I troubleshoot for (I have at least one or two bugs per hour) is several years old. It's scary to use in a real world setting when doing client work, because it's so hard to foresee all the issues that are bound to crop up, thus making it impossible to accurately estimate any given task. ...
