Confirmed, I thought I was hallucinating but its true Photoshop 2025 gen fill is indeed unusable. I opened up a psd file done in 25.7.0 with the gen layers still there and re-generated with the same prompt in 26.4.1 and what used to look like realistic landscaping looks like roblow now.

I don't know if you are still struggling with this issue on my windows laptop, but I've been dealing with the same issue for a couple of years, and toda I finally figured it out, at least for my machine. I had Parsec installed which had a virtual display driver. As soon as I uninsntalled it, photoshop got butter smooth again. It seems photoshop isn't great at dealing with multiple GPUs, even if they are virtual drivers, it just goes wacky. So check if you have any remoted desktop app or similiar, that might have some virtual display drivers.

@Ronald Samonte As expected, it was an issue with GPU drivers as I expected a few months ago. Then I just have to wait for a version that's compatible with this driver (now really no problem, not opting for the option of not using GPU like stable) to be released from Photoshop.

I am using a PC with an i9 processor, 1TB SSD, 1TBHDD, and 32GB ram, with Intel Model UHD Graphics 770 and Device ID 8086-A780a NVIDIA Model GeForce RTX 4060 Ti, updated to the latest driver. The remove tool was fantastic until this latest PS update. It is now so slow that it is unusable. Even the smallest spot takes up to 10 seconds to remove. One cannot even spot a bunch of specks and wait for the computer to catch up; I just get a sound and any attempted spot removal isn't registered. I turn off the Generative AI, and I I have tried switching between "Stable" and "Faster", and nothing helps. Please keep the Generative AI feature on a separate tool.

My remove tool doesnt remove anything. if i use it the old way, just drawing over the object, or the new way, turning off "remove after each stroke" and checking the (-) button. Once the pink area dissappears, the object is still right there. Ive restarted Photoshop, still doesnt work at all.

Bumping this. It's weird how this has always been an issue and nobody has reported it.

It still boggles my mind. Except 100%, every other zoom level (before 100% and between 100-200), the edges of the projects are semi transparent - you can see the checkerboard pattern. How is this still not fixed? It's been like that for years

The feature isn't intended to create incremental/sequential copies.
I realise this is an idea/request topic. There are scripts for this task if you want this feature today. There are many scripts for this task on the forum if you search for posts with sequential or incremental, here is an example:

Ever since the last two updates, the remove tool (pink) acts awfully. If I make a circle with the brush to remove an area, it would wait for me to click again and then fill up that entire circle, removing everything in it. This can't seriously be a behavior that should stay, I don't need a whole area removed, I only need whatever I've brushed to be removed. I hope that makes sense.

As far as i know, there is not a way to change the zoom modifier key from Option to Command.
You could go to Photoshop>Settings (Preferences)>Tools and check Zoom with Scroll Wheel, then you don't have press any modifier key to zoom with the mouse wheel.

Hi @lucellent I cannot replicate the issue in Photoshop 24.6. First - determine if you have "Use Legacy Transform" active or not under Preferences (Settings)/General.
If you have the setting unchecked - the shift key does snap to grid.
If you have this active - the shift key does the opposite and free transforms ignoring grid.
This is intentional not a bug.
With the setting off -
View menu>Show> Grid
View Menu>Snap To> choose Grid
It snaps to grid while holding shift.

Basically the title. Photoshop completely freezes and crashes when I right click on the screen during Save as (saving an image). Seems like the "hot spot" for clicking is on Windows 11's sidebar (the left panel with folders), that's the place in which right-clicking makes Photoshop freeze. I'm running both Windows 11 and Photoshop on their latest stable versions.

**Bump I have the exact same version of Photoshop and Windows 10 as you, but my shape doesn't have an inside stroke withinthe Shapes Panel. I added that later on withing the 3D shape settings. Otherwise, applying a shape stroke works for me properly but then, if I don't use the 3D bevel setting, I won't get the desired bevel effect I'm after.
