Did you ever get any updates on this? It's the first EVER sign I've seen of ANYTHING being done about this. So thanks for pursuing.

Obviously proofing from sRGB to sRGB doesn't make any sense. I have done it only to demonstrate that there is something wrong with the current implementation when a GPU is used. If I can't trust a conversion that is 1:1 there are probably issues with any other profile conversion, so this bug should be addressed by Adobe.

Slightly different issue and alternate solution... I have had a similar issue with the canvas *apparently* not extending equally on all sides. I can't reliably reproduce the issue, but it most frequently occurs when I have extended the original image using generative fill and somehow cropped. (There is one image that exibited the issue without having been extended.) I say "apparently", because when I enlarge the canvas, I discovered that Photoshop is somehow retaining the precropped data and filling that in when I expand the canvas. This goes unnoticed when there is little significant detail in the filled in data. The solution is to crop the image (at the full size of the image as loaded) before resizing with the Canvas Size. The example below is of an image expanded using generative fill and then cropped (at an earlier time). I opened the image (2400x1513 pixels) and then created the red blocks at the 4 corners. I added a background layer, then increased the canvas size by 440 pixels in height and width with the anchor point at the center. I made the background blue for contrast. The resultant image shows where the "hidden" image was displayed. (Ideally, in this case, I would want the blue border to start at the outside of the red blocks.)

I hope I am doing this right. I created a thread before that ended up in "Discussions," not "Bugs." The brush sizes in Photoshop seem to be tied to Accessibility Pointer sizes in MacOS. If a person wants or needs a bigger pointer in the OS, it has a significant adverse effect on how the brush size displays. Here is my thread and another thread about this, both in Discussions. My thread includes screenshots and another person's "solution," which sort of fixed the problem, but makes clear that there is an accessibility issue here. Someone in my thread told me to "add it to the feature request." I consider this a bug that needs fixing, not a feature I would like added.

Some how I managed to open an image in Camera Raw and fiddle around in PS 20025 gosh did something simple and it opened in edit photo file I was working on. The shift key just bypass the needless diagnoluge if a pro in that area.

I'm seeing this question 2 years after it was posed. To delete photos from your mac computer from inside any collection or search in LRC, press and hold Shift / Option / Command and press the delete key (the one that eats from right to left) and it will delete the photo from lightroom but also from the disk - actual "gone gone."

Adobe has added Open and Save as .webp to Photoshop without needing third party plugins. Now it's time to add the same to Lightroom Classic without third party plugins.

It's an older thread, but still useful for those looking for an answer: PhotoLine loads and saves multi-page TIFF files without any problem. Also supports colour management and higher bit depths, as well as 1 bitt TIFF files with multi-pages. (No other image editor on the market can handle TIFF files with multiple 1-bit image pages, btw)

It's now turned off by default in the latest version. You have to go dig in the options to switch it on. This topic could be closed now. It's good how it works now.

@kumard30512702, Apple released buggy graphics drivers for the AMD Radeon 5000-series GPUs, causing problems for many LR users. Many have reported that upgrading to Mac OS 15 solves the problem, but some have reported that it doesn't. If upgrading doesn't solve the issue, you can work around issues displaying photos in Develop and Library and exporting them by setting Preferences > Performance > Use Graphics Processor to Off.

Yes! There are a few all-in-one photo editing apps that combine features similar to Adobe Photoshop (detailed photo editing, layers, retouching) and Adobe Lightroom (advanced color grading, lighting adjustments). Some apps offer a balance of both, allowing you to edit photos, enhance lighting, and apply effects in a single place. For example, Photoleap for Pc Premium unlocked gives you access to powerful editing tools, AI effects, and advanced lighting adjustments—all in one app. Other apps like Affinity Photo and Polarr also provide a mix of Photoshop-style editing with Lightroom-like enhancements. If you're looking for a single app that does everything from retouching to color grading, try exploring apps that emphasize both creative editing and professional adjustments.

Thanks for sharing the name of the template. I will give creating a whole new site with Martias a try. Super annoying, but it it works for being able to handle PAGE BACKGROUND video, then I suppose it will be worth it. Wish Adobe would either fix the issue or simply let users know which templates can handle a simple video background.

If you lose your preferences in minor dot updates, something's wrong, like not having full administrator privileges in your user account.
With a major whole-number version update, preferences do not carry over, they never have. There is an option to migrate preferences, but I don't recommend it because of the high risk of accumulated errors carrying over as well.
As for actions, brushes, anything that can be saved out - save out and keep it in a safe place. Then it can always be easily reloaded.

Came here with the same issue -- Massive file sizes that cannot be reduced in acrobat. I only use bridge to create contact sheets and browse images quickly (it had one job!). After reading a lot of comments, I went to Creative Cloud and installed Bridge version 14.0. Problem solved and fine for me to never update again since I don't use any other features!

If there are scripts out there, why haven't these been incorporated into the program by now??? Flipping horizontal or vertical is critical to my work, and clients don't have the budget to run thru Lightroom just for a horizontal flip. (Lightroom has too much file overhead for such a simple job.) You can rotate all day long in Lightroom and it changes the metadata in the photo by default. Why can't we flip?

I struggled for hours today trying to get both Adobe DNG Converter ande Helicon Focus to open my raw Panasonic RW2 files, trying everything suggested on Google, but then stumbled on my particular solution. Almost all of the web links emphasize to update your LR or PS to the latest version, but in my case the problem was that ADOBE DNG CONVERTER WAS AN OLDER VERSION and therefore didn't recognize my particular camera model. So the fix was to simply download the latest version of DNG Converter and once installed, voila, problem solved! Just always make sure that ALL of the APPS you are using are updated to the current version and many of these kind of problems will disappear. Good luck.

OK so I have used the Save for Web Legacy for exporting an image that is cut up with Slices from Grids for Instagram panos & grids by exporting a folder of jpgs. It always worked fine. The issue I'm having all of a sudden is that all of the images are exported as gifs except the last one which is exported as a jpg. I tried mixing the gifs & jpgs and they don't line up perfectly? I've tried selecting jpgs in the drop down, using jpg presets, I also reset my preferences, nothing works? I also hae tried this in Photoshop 2024 & 2025. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help!

Clarification on using the Technology Preview- With this disabled, Camera RAW and Lightroom Classic can apply Super Resolution to PSD files. In LrC, just right-click an imported PSD. In ACR, File->Open, select the PSD file, and change format to Camera RAW to open into ACR, then Enhance. With the Preview turned on, Enhance is not available for PSD files so ACR cannot apply Super Resolution. I assume this is by design. Is this correct and will ACR (and presumably LrC) add this capability in the future, once this is a release feature and not a Preview? If not, please consider retaining the old Enhance method so we don't lose a feature. And yes this is useful. When working with older, low-resolution, noisy RAW files, applying Denoise and then Super Resolution actually works well.

I haven't experienced any real lag in Photoshop on my three Windows 11 systems under conditions similar to what is being described. I don't think the problem is necessarily Photoshop. The systems have varying hardware. One is an i7 9700k with 64GB of 3200MHz DDR4, a 1TB 970 Pro and a 6GB 1060. The second is a Threadripper 2950x with 128GB of 3200MHz DDR4, 2 1TB 970 Pros (scratch) and a 2TB Aorus (boot), and two RTX2080s. The third is a Threadripper 3955wx with 256GB of 3200MHz DDR4, 2TB FireCuda 530 (boot) 8x2TB FireCuda 530 RAID10 array (programs), 400GB P DC5800x (scratch) and a 6.4TB D7-P5620 (backup), with an RTX3090ti.
