Does that show the same on OSX? For me it was the added spaces in the header. Not this what you are pointing at Edit After googling, that Microsoft version probably ads escapes for special characters. I didn't have special characters. Illustrator parser is probably much different vs that of InDesign. Read it couple times that CSV format is poorly standardized

Does this problem persist if you disable Windows Ink in the Wacom Tablet Properties app? I have a Wacom tablet connected on my home setup and am not seeing the issues described in this discussion thread. However, I have Windows Ink disabled in the Wacom Tablet Properties due to all sorts of other anger-inspiring nonsense that Windows Ink causes.

it worked the first time. Now it simply keeps opening a blank html page in chrome. Super weird. First time it did open Phone Link, thats a windows app linked to mobile. I know this trick and have been using it for years. also on the web

If you lose your preferences in minor dot updates, something's wrong, like not having full administrator privileges in your user account.
With a major whole-number version update, preferences do not carry over, they never have. There is an option to migrate preferences, but I don't recommend it because of the high risk of accumulated errors carrying over as well.
As for actions, brushes, anything that can be saved out - save out and keep it in a safe place. Then it can always be easily reloaded.

Assuming the update released on Jan 23, 2025 also didnt work for you and you don't want to disable the security settings, this has worked for several of my clients. It's a lame "fix" but in my opinion, better than turning off security.

When both options are turned OFF in the settings, why is AIRobin still running and eating away wasted RAM?? What also weird, when i turn off background saving, i dont see any saving dialog. Which is also an issue Even worse, when i force quite it, it magically starts itself again. Talk about invasive apps

Landed at this page because this has been a workflow disruptor for me for quite awhile now. It is beyond maddening. WHY this functionality was ever rolled out in the first place is baffling. TenTin's suggestion above is perfect and seems like such an easy fix. Hopefully in some future update this will get solved.

@Disposition_Dev I came to thread again. Because indeed if a compound was made by sub groups. We can loop through it again some how. I tried using code to expand style and trim pathfinder. It does work on simple compound shape items but not ones with nested groep. Things is compound shape can actually have a different method of color in terms of a group. When I applied a gradiënt to the compoundshap, when I ungrouo the gradiënt is set per sperate pathItem I'll try your trick, see if that helps me. Thanks for the headsup

@Myra Ferguson @dzgnr89 Actually there is, when you use regular select oe group select tool, once you click and drag, you can press E. This is a toggle button and now only all items with the marque are selected. I wish they would add this to the lasso tool as well. The part about selecting enclosed items https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/selecting-objects.html I know this is an old post. But it can be helpful for others. It's kinda of a hidden festure

@meriware I know its old. But... Why not use Photoshop in this case. Since you said you use normalized images. You could do a batch on the folders. Simply pick the color add it to an swatch Folder and possibly save it as aco file or something else. But i guess you already did the work creating the CSV file. That must have been tons of work!

I mailed him/her Well it seems, at least i think, it can not read pantone colors, even though they are basical stored as LAB values. If i make a PMS color with its lab values according to a color book file, it works. But a swatch file which has a pms color from a color book returns the error. Hope he chime in
