Unfortunately you don't have gave us any informations about your system. So all proposed solutions are a guesswork. Which version of operating system and Adobe software do you have installed?
Please provide a copy of your 'System Info'. This can be get from the LrC Help > System Info menu item. There's a copy button in the System Info dialog. Press this button and paste the info into your next forum post.
I don't have any experience with snapdragon processors. But I think if the processor would be incompatible you wouldn't have been able to install the Adobe programs at all.
When the 'link' between Lightroom Classic and Photoshop has issues, the first step is to try this:
Use the Adobe Creative Cloud Application to uninstall Photoshop. When asked, keep preferences! After this reinstall Photoshop again.
If this doesn't help the nest step is to reinstall both apps Lightroom and Photoshop. Please folloe the steps below:
Open the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop Client and uninstall both Photoshop and Lightroom Classic. When asked, keep preferences!
Install Photoshop first and then Lightroom Classic. The right order is very important here!
If this doesn't help try the reinstallation with removing the preferences also.

Non I my images show as "missing" This sentence does not have an obvious meaning to me. Are there typos? Are there missing words? What does it mean? My actual images IN lightroom are well organized using collections and keywords etc... If that is the case, I wouldn't bother re-arranging the photos into a different folder structure, that is a nightmare. You can find the photos you want via collections and keywords, and LrC knows what folder they are stored in so that you don't have to know what folder the photos are stored in.

Do you've used the Adobe Cleaner Tool after uninstalling Lightroom?
If no please do a complete and clean reinstallation by following the steps below:
Backup all personal data, like templates, presets etc.
Uninstall everything CC app including preferences, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html
Then uninstall the CC Desktop Client, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html
Clean your computer of CC files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html
Restart your computer (don't skip this)
Reinstall the CC Desktop Client, https://www.adobe.com/creativecloud/desktop-app.html
Use the Desktop Client to install your CC applications
Restore your personal data.
If you're unable to install the cc desktop app at this stage, use an administrator account (solution 4 here, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-missing-damaged.html)
If this doesn't help, please make sure that you system is completly up-to-date and all recent patches and drivers are installed. Please provide a copy of your 'System Info'. It's recommended to backup your preferences before you reset the preferences to the default settings:

@dj_paige FYI an upgrade to LrC v14 does not change the catalog filename as happened in the past. Changing a catalog name is now a Menu item: File > Rename Catalog... Many users with v14 now have catalogs named -v13-3 or similar.

@roelv55517707 "I have never really used the catalogues." You must use at least one catalog. Lr-Classic does not work without a catalog.

I've read about such black screen problems. But only with Game Ready version of the driver and I'm using already the Studio driver 572.60 with a RTX 3060 on a Win 11 24H2 system without any issues.
But the main thing is that you have found a solution to your problem.

You need a current paid subscription to the Photography Plan (or the new Lightroom Plan), and be signed in with the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop App. Signing in activates the Adobe Apps.

Julieanne Kost of Adobe recently started re-creating updated versions of her excellent, free Lightroom Classic video tutorials on YouTube, so that the version shown is now much more current.
They’re not on Windows 11 (she uses a Mac), but that shouldn’t stop the videos from being useful to you, because most Lightroom Classic features work the same way on Windows and macOS.

If someone has been using Photoshop oh-so-very-long does it really make a relevant difference that a feature that has only existed for a couple of years does not work as well as they would like it to?
When image data is transferred onto Adobe-servers for Firefly-processing (and the results are then sent back to the user) Adobe temporarily houses the data and I suspect that the fear of being held responsible for that leads them to be extremely cautious.

@AxelMatt thank you for your reply. I have installed the studio drivers. I tried deactivating the built-in GPU and at first it seemed to work. But as soon as I changed the Windows 11 scale parameter for my laptop display (100% to 150%) the problem came back. So I guess I have to choose between a proper display on my laptop and photoshop functionning correctly. 😞 Once again : no problem at all with Photoshop 2021. It's only problematic on 2024 and 2025.

Just wondering if you ever resolved this. My system isn't as good as yours but it's only a 2-year-old machine with 16 gig And I only had problems after upgrading to Windows 11 in mid-December. Prior to that I have been running 26.2 both beta and release versions with no issues. Now I have a problem with it shutting down on file>open that began in December when I decided give Windows 11 another go and decided to do it as a clean install. Right out of the gate I had this problem. It functions otherwise normally. I can right click files and either open with or send to Photoshop fine And I can open them through bridge. The reason I'm asking you is because after frustrating hours of working with support remotely logged in still not finding the issue, I began installing versions backwards one at a time to identify where the failure is happening and it happens between versions 25.9 and 25.11. This was in June of last year. Compatibility checker shows that it's compatible And I found that if I launch it holding shift to prevent plugins from loading, it operates fine. What baffles me is that I don't have any plugins installed. Trying to identify what else changed between those two versions that's causing this problem that was not causing the same problem on Windows 10....

I'm using a canon eos R3 with a Tamron 18-400. I also have that problem when I import into LR. I've discovered that by unchecking the remove chromatic aberration and enable lens correction boxes, no cropping is needed. But those boxes being checked on import is a new problem.

I don’t know if it’s the only solution, but it's a try. As I wrote I would save the preferences before doing the reset.
I'm a Windows user and here it works. I can't test it on a Mac.

Please describe more detailed what you've done.
Which previous version did you had installed?
Which new Lightroom version do you have installed?
Were you asked to update the catalog after starting the new installed Lightroom for the first time?
Check if you are in the view "All Photographs" and no filter is applied.

I had the same problem. One of Adobe's solutions is is to remove Creative Cloud and all associated apps. It's not easy when your computer is hobbled by CC. Then reinstall CC and your apps. I haven't reinstalled, because I'm trying to find a way to install Lightroom Classic only, and none of the other baggage Adobe throws in. By @steve_5362 Did you use the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleanup tool for that removal? Or did you simply use your OS uninstall procedure to uninstall one app at a time. The latter is inefficient and incomplete. The CC Cleanup tool is a big hammer but easier, quicker more complete, and what Adobe recommends when runnining into nasty nasty problems with any CC app. Note that their is also a Adobe procedure to uninstall the Creative Cloud Desktop app. As for installing only LrC, in the Creative Cloud Desktop App (and yes you do need that) simply select only LrC for install. Bonjour, J'ai résolu mon problème en mettant hors ligne mon ordinateur puis en modifiant la date système - j'ai choisi la date du jour mais en 2020 - et j'ai relancé L6. J'ai renseigné mon n° de licence qui a été validé. Et tout va bien. Mais que se passera-t-il lorsque je devrai réinstaller L6 sur un nouveau PC par ex ... Waint and see ! PHV
