I just replied to your other comment, but a version of this script as well where I can open multiple dngs/CR2s as smart objects (skipping ACR) would be amazing. Thank you for your help!

Gonna add my +1 to this. Sad to find out that this doesn't exist. I would have put money on this already being a thing in Photoshop.

Don't you just *LOVE* it when Adobe breaks your workflow with updates and costs you time/money? Camera Raw 16.2. In the new Crop/Geometry tab, holding Alt and pressing an up or down arrow key no longer navigates to the previous or next photo in the film strip. It works in the Edit tab. Why did they move the geometry adjustments anyway? And while I'm here, I suppose there's no possible way to get the older crop view back, where the photo remains static and the crop box moves, instead of the crop box moving the whole canvas as you adjust it....?

Hi Stone, Just got back to my computer and see your reply. IF the colors are important (and it does seem like your desire for accurate color exists), do you ever use a gray card when taking photos in different rooms as your light conditions change? Alternatively, if you wish to fix any colorcasts in the room, AND wish to fix any mis-colored sensors in your camera, AND dual color conditions in a room (e.g., sunlight and tungsten light), I strongly consider you check out the ColorChecker Passport. In addition I think you may wish to consider not leaving your camera on Auto-Whitebalance. That will help as well—set it for the room conditions. Fortunately since you are using raw, you can change that at any time. Best,

I would use Save As, but it also remembers the location saved to. I'd like my edits to overwrite the originals in the folder I opened them from, and I'm often opening them from different locations. Never tried Save for Web in an action - I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the script link!

I found part of my problem this evening. My Contour Shuttle Pro 2 was sending a constant "Shuttle In Left 7" command to Premiere, causing it to fast forward erratically. I cracked open the Shuttle Contour and re soldered some iffy looking joints where the encoder is connected to the printed circuit board and reassembled it and now it works as it should. Good only lead-free soldering strikes again! I was working a bit in AfterEffects this evening and amazed that it actually runs more smoothly than Premiere Pro. AE seems to like working on multiprocessors, but Pr doesn't.

Didn't work for me, unfortunately. I've tried every single thing in the Troubleshooting Quicktime Errors blogpost to no avail. Still pops up with the "Quicktime is not installed" even though I can open up the Quicktime Player, look at the DLLs, etc... I've got the Windows Firewall completely disabled, no other software on this machine but AE. So frustrating.
What version of QuickTime do you have installed? What version number of the Windows OS are you using? What is the exact version number of AE (down to the last decimal)? When did this problem first occur? Has AE worked on this computer before?
