You have a choice to upgrade. You should do it. If you want to be a photoshop professional, upgrade. It's free. I see no downside to using beta. Only takes a few minutes to export your settings and import them to beta. I did it, so can you.

I'm using 25.13. So maybe it's not available for your platform ? It's in the beta app section.

The legacy tool does not work on my Mac pro with the Quad-Core Intel Xeon E5 (black round shaped mac pro). It works fine on my M1 mac mini purchased 2 years ago. The same version of photoshop on both macs. I wonder if this has something to do with the processor of the mac? Anyone have any ideas? The Legacy healing used to work on my mac pro in 25.9 version of photoshop. also works in version 22.2 before the introduction of the remove tool. I have to switch back to an older version of photoshop to use the legacy healing tool

photoshop Beta 25.12 legacy brush works only on my newer mac mini with the M1 chip running system Sonoma 14.5. My older work mac with Beta 25.12 and system software monterey 12.7.5 it does not work with. unfortunatly I cannot upgrade my system software further on this work machine with the new system software.

In photoshop beta the healing brush tool in legacy mode is not working at all. It works fine when legacy is unchecked. It works fine in non-beta photoshop.

You can check your time machine disk for it also. If you're on a mac that is, and have time machine backing up your work. Sounds like you saved it in the wrong format. If you have an earlier version saved as a psd maybe you can retrieve it.

if you dont have the new photoshop, you can probably get away with using liquify with a large brush. and possibly puppet warp.

The best way is: if you have photoshop 20.0.1 and above. It was a new feature in 20.0.1 the ability to add points to a transform. command T, (transform) then click the mesh button. use option to add points to the mesh. then just manipulate the point.

There are many ways to do this but here's the easy way: LAYER>NEW FILL LAYER. (pick the color you want). Change mode to "color" On the layer palette, make sure fill layer is set to "color" mode (or multiply) then adjust the mask transparancy or color as needed.

The fish is from photshop, the type could be illustrator or indesign or even photoshop. Type is in multiply mode on fish. very simple. (The type will remain vector in a photoshop pdf. as long as it's not rasterized before saving the pdf.) The fish should be at least 300dpi at 100 percent size or smaller. if you blow it up larger it'll start to look pixely.

what sample size are you using? I have mine set to 5x5 average, sample all layers, and turned off the sample ring. Maybe change your setting and see if that works better. I have my cursors set to precise also. if that doesnt work, also check your ram usage and graphics processor settings. history states and cache levels. (in your preferences).

you might want to use them to create some channel masks first. or you can keep the layered file offline somewhere. I don't delete layers unless I'm sure I'll never need to move something around.

Sample the colors from the actual photo. hold down shift to add more colors, option to remove. you don't have to sample from the color range preview box.
