2025 UPDATE: For those of you who are still having issues, this YouTube video explains the fix. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5noJxygJB5k Basically, you have to go into System Settings -> Privacy & Security. Scroll down to Security and you should see "... was blocked to protect your Mac". Click "Open Anyway".
