I kept getting this problem. Then you mentioned Dropbox. All my files are automatically back upped by Dropbox. So when I saved and then immediately exported I got the problem(Dropbox was saving my file). Now I wait untill the file is in back up before rendering. Thanks.

Ah yes I see. Could you provide an example of the code for btn1? Just to send me in the right direction. When I for instance press btn3, how does the btn3 know from what state to play?

Hi kglad, yes. If I understand it right, I wil have a timeline with all the animations possible with stops at the end? So: from level to left, level to right, left to right, right to left, left to level etc? Thanks 🙂

So after pressing btn3, the scales animates from level state to 'right hanging state' When I then click for instance, btn1 now, it should animate to 'left hanging state' Hope I made myself more clear!

Hello, I have an animation of an old fashioned scale with 3 states: hanging to the left, in the middle(level) and hanging to the right. You can go to the states by pressing 3 buttons. One for every state. So when I press button 1, the scales animate to the left hanging state. Button 2, the scales go level. button 3 the scales go to the right hanging state. When I press button 3 after button 1, the scale must go from left hanging state to right hanging state. So the button sees which state the movieclip is in(left, level or right) and animates to the right state. It looks pretty simple but I can't get it to work. Any help is much appreciated. Hi Nishu, I updated from 17.5.1(Build 47) to 18.01(Build 1) And I used illustrator files(I didn't Create shapes from vector layer) in combination with shapes I drew in After effects. Thanks for your reply! Marieke

I updated to AE 2021 and the color of some illustrator files changed slightly! They seem a bit lighter. See attachment. You can see around the eyes are some shapes to have it close the eyes etc. The character is an illustrator file, which has changed color. Is there a way to fix it? Thanks!!

I used to use it for everything: draw, animate, script. But now I only use Animate for 1 client, because of scripting part. I use After Effects for animation now and Illustrator for drawing. Only thing I really miss is the 'break apart' vector(they should include that in Illustrator) but sometimes I draw in Animate and export as SVG, which I can use in Illustrator.

The rectangle disappeared after I turned off Span Based Selection which was suggested by n_tilcheff. Everything(almost..) is working like it used to!
