When the 'link' between Lightroom Classic and Photoshop has issues, the first step is to try this:
Use the Adobe Creative Cloud Application to uninstall Photoshop. When asked, keep preferences! After this reinstall Photoshop again.
If this doesn't help the nest step is to reinstall both apps Lightroom and Photoshop. Please folloe the steps below:
1. Open the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop Client and uninstall both Photoshop and Lightroom Classic. When asked, keep preferences!
2. Install Photoshop first and then Lightroom Classic. The right order is very important here!
If this doesn't help try the reinstallation with removing the preferences also.

I had a thread reporting the same issue. I consider this to be a fairly big accessibility bug that needs to be fixed. I just now made a Bug Report, hoping to get more traction. My Discussion Thread: https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-discussions/photoshop-brush-preview-doesn-t-match-actual-size-macos/m-p/15182202 My Bug Report Thread: https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-bugs/accessibility-bug-brush-tool-size-and-macos-pointer-settings/idi-p/15182235#M119555 If you can upvote bug reports it might help to do so.

Dropbox somehow managed to be more transparent when that message pops up, stating that they use the local network access specifically to sync to other local computers, because that is faster than syncing to the cloud. Why can't Adobe tell us what they need the access for? Why so secret Adobe? I mean if you are going to act all cagey when Apple let's you craft that message, I have to assume you are doing bad things behind the scenes. so DENY to you until you can figure out how to be transparent.

You're right: I don't have a license. I don't have one because I canceled it when Adobe popped up its message that it would not open PS2025 (or PS2020 for that matter--please see discussions above).

Since my post of 2/10, a 3rd (4th?) release of v26.3.0 can be downloaded from CC. As in my previous posts, the update description includes additional information not included in previous releases. What's new in Photoshop • This update introduces an enhanced Frame tool and provides additional bug fixes and performance updates. • Bug fixes and improvements for the Substance 3D Viewer (Beta) integration. Is Adobe not concerned that, as community experts have advised in responses to my question, folks will skip installing this release. "Minor" revision or not, shouldn't all updates be marked as new -- using an incremented version number -- and marked as new -- using an incremented version number -- and shouldn't all updates be installed to maintain integrity, eliminate future posts where folks insist that all updates have been installed? Not the best update documentation standard practice.

I haven't met an AI image generator yet that didn't struggle with human anatomy. They often botch facial features, fingers, toes, skin, hair, eyes, and apparel. It's the nature of the beast.
Some machines perform better than others, but ultimately they do what they're told to do. They generate output based on the data samples with which they were trained.
I have a love/hate relationship with AI. I love it as a design tool, the way an artist loves brushes & pigments. But as a replacement for human talent, there are still boat loads of room for improvement. 😏
I mainly use AI as inspiration for manually created artwork. In that way, I maintain control & ownership rights over the final product.

OK, that makes sense. Thanks for letting us know!
Yes, on macOS I have often found that macOS still thinks an external display is connected even though the display is powered off, if the cable is still connected.

Hi Ok so I tried all the above and my crashing contiues. I can barely get my work done. What a nightmare. I've updtaed my drivers and tried running nothing but photshop and its not good. Tried using different scratch disks. I reinstalled v12.5.0 and v25.12.1 to see if it was any better than v26.3. No luck. It appears to crash often when I enter into making any color adjustments to a layer. Dozens of crashes today along those lines. This has become a series problem. I'm hoping I can get some help. Tried turning off GPU compositing but it didn't help. During several crashes my speakers will sound out this weird crackling noise. Never heard it in the past. It also did that sound when I installed OS sequoia.

Hey! @DyslexicMitochondria
Thanks for sharing the video of the issue and the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far. Let's work through this together! Typically, disabling the graphics card points to a driver-related issue, but since you're on a Mac, we'd like to take a closer look at your system details.
Could you share your system info with us? You can find this by going to Help > System Info, then copying and pasting it into a text file to attach here. This will help us better understand the issue and find a solution.

Hi @amber_8798
I wrote out a long answer, but I realize I may have misunderstood.
Is Arial® by Monotype available to you in Photoshop or is is altogether missing? Here is the list of typefaces included with macOS and Arial is on the list: https://support.apple.com/en-us/108939.
If it is available, you will need to select your text and apply Arial for the Type face. It is a character setting, so the characters must be selected first.

I would absolutely not recommend this! It's asking for problems.
The settings file contains a lot more than your own user settings. It is the whole application configuration, including lots of hidden settings, and a lot of it relates to the system configuration and hardware (such as the GPU). Those will obviously be very different.
Do not do this!

Overexpose with blown out highlight, there is no more data to play with. If if may, my two cents are: go for underexpose instead when you are in situation like that, at least you will have data to play with. For Exposure Metering: go for spot metering. Depending of your camera model, as a exemple in the setting of like in the Nikon D850 you also have that great option of [ Highlight-Weighted Metering } it's especially for those types of photography, such as theater, concert, or situation, of a bright subject and dark background. Of course ISO is your friend also the quality of your lens at least with a opening of f2.8, noise will be more present in the dark area that you can fix easily in post production.

I will leave it to more-experienced Community members who have installed Ps (released) and Ps Beta as to the presence of their icons as seen in the (multiple) pages of Launchpad. I see no reason for Apple OS to exclude beta apps from appearing there.

Can you explain to me what "tweened" means? Tween is hiding under the "hamburger" menu just above the timeline. It sets the number of frames you want Ps to invent between each frame, to smooth motion. It's strange because the images aren't corrupted outside of photoshop Look at your timeline; if you see the same thing I saw, then they were corrupted before you generated the GIF (imo). Thank you kindly @LAMY2017 this worked for me to fix the issue I had, same as @Sam_H3000 and @Hagan0D4C. For me it was a two step process, first Reset Tool, then quit and repoen Photoshop 2025 (26.3.0 Release). The Style choice did not return to Normal until I quit the app.

I'm a little lost to be honest. It's possible to make either the white or black transparent, if that's what you're looking for.

You could use the Vanishing Point filter. I would isolate the subject on a separate layer, and feather the top edge of he paneling. Then the clone stamp in the Vanishing Point will follow the perspective. I'd recommend using a small soft brush, working in sections, changing the sample point frequently to deal with the differences in lighting.

It's not specific to Photoshop. This is a general shortcoming with AI everywhere. It has no understanding of what a human being is, so you get six fingers, disjointed limbs and deformed faces.

massimo, I searched Adobe.com and the web for variations of "Freeze filter under stylize," sylize freeze filter," "Photoshop filter"-- found nothing. Wikipedia.org had a fairly comprehensive page on Photoshop versions and major tool inclusions. 'Freeze' was not on that webpage. I don't recall that particular filter; what did it do? All my almost-successful searches found the Freeze tool in Liquify.
