Hi Kevin, Thanks for sending this options over. Unfortunaltey, neither reallly help my workflow. I can;t simply interpret the footage as not every clip will be used as slow motion. I would be in same boat of having to cjange it the other way ferom slow to normal. I understand being able to change multiple clips at one time, butt hat does not help either as I would like to slow it down as needed aws I amoputting the sequnce together, see if it works for story etc. If I was to put the sequnce togethr then go back and find where the slow motion should be and change multiple clips it could work, but tha is not my style of editing. A simple drag and drop prest of say 60% and 80% slow down wouold be perfect.and easy Darrell

I work with a lot of clips fimed at high frame frates and then have to slow those clips down. Not so much speed ramps, litterally slowing down the clips by 40 or 60%. So on every clip I have to right click, click speed and then slow the clip down. I would love to be able to make that a preset like you can with most effects in the effect panel. If I can just drop a preset on the clips, it would save me a ton of time. Make it happen please! Darrell

Hi Kevin, Thank you so much for jumping in. So I tried export VBR one pass and no change, still slow export through AME. I read through the link you sent me regarding the decoding issues with windows 11 24H2. Firstly,I am still using windows 10 22H2. Also my CPU is a Ryzen 9 5950X which has no IGPU Both boxes in preferences are checked to use Hardware decoding and when playing back the Sony 10 bit 4:2:2 footage task manager clearly shows that the GPU is decoding the material. I thin it is safe to say in my case the issue is not a windows issue. I have also found now that the issue only ocurs when I export the sony footage through AME. If I export directly ffrom PP 25.1 I get the normal encoding times I am used to. Thanks Darrell

So I had to export out a 10:44 second video to H.264. Same type of source material,. Sent it to Media Encoder 1:04:15 yes you read that correctly over an hour! So I then I exported the same video directly from PP25.1 and it encoded in just over 7 minutes. What is going on? Adobe help me.

Just ran the same project and export through PP Beta 25.2 the the encoding time was 2:03 (log below) So PP25.0 PP Beta 25.2 encode the video in around 2 minutes. PP25.1 encodes the video in 17 minutes. All same machine, same hardware, same operating system. The only variable is the version of PP. I was able to go through my logs and find a project from PP25 that was still loaded on my computer. I then exported the same project again in PP25.1. The machine, operating system, location of media, location of export, all the same. No new hardware or software, only PP25.1 upgrade. The logs are posted below but the short answer is: When exported using PP 25 encoding time was 00:02:04 when expoted using PP25.1 the Encoding Time: 00:17:05 fiftenn minutes more. Adobe please help. Hi Mayjain, I have another machine that is still running PP 24.6 so I will load the lastt coupe of projects up and try some export tests. As I stated to Neil. There were no cghanges to my system or to the media I am working with. One day running PP 25.0 everything exporting fast. Like I mentioned I do not have specific time pre 25.1 update because I did not have any problems but definately no lore then 5 minutes for a 2-3 minute final export. Timeline cosists of Sony HEVC H.265 footage exported to 50 Mbit 4K h.264 files. No heavy fx like noise redcuction or flicker free only a few warp stabilizer clips. Ran several exports this morning and they were all around 18 minutes for a 3:14 second timeline I have another machine running 24.6 and I will do some tests. Darrell

Hi All, Has anyone else noticed slower exports of H.264 files? I edit mostly Sony HEVC 4K footage and export 4K 50 mbit H.264 files. A lot of the projects are 2-3 minutes in length and exports prior to 25.1 were usually under 5 minutes. Since 25.1 exports are taking 15-20 minutes!!! I am on a windows Machine AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 16-Core Processor 3.40 GHz 128 Gb Ram Nvidia RTX 3070 NVMe Drives I am not sure whats happening. Nothing on my end has changed. Adobe, what am I missing? Please put rounded corners back like they were in earlier addions of Beta or allow user to decide if they want them. I feel they are more pleasing to the eye and more inline with a modern UI. Thank you ' Darrell Martinelli

Everytime I open up a panel which contailns footage the controls at the bottom of the panel (Icon view, List view, new bin, delete, etc) go away and I have to resize the panel to get the controls to show back up

Having the same issue it takes forever just to create the proxy job. It litterally brings me to a stand still as I wait sveral minutes to a half hour just for he proxy job to finish. Most of the time this is longer then encoding the actual proxies

Not at all. I have been using the same nameing of my files for the last 15 years and never had a problem. It has been absolutely insane. I am sure their is a glitch somewhere in the project file because I just had another interesting note to the probelem. I started a new sequence which consists of different parts of 5 or so different interviews. After I cut the sequence together I decided I would try AME and it worked without a problem. I then had to make a quick change and when I export the same sequence a second time, it exported out a complete file of the red "mising media" warning. So I started a new sequence, threw some clips on and then exported it and again the new sequence worked in AME. As soon as it was finished I sent it back to AME again (no changes on the timeline) and the export is red "media is missing" . as always, if I export directly from PP there isno issue. Completely stumped! Darrell

Hi Neil, I was hoping you would chime in as you normally have all the answers! I have tried that already to no avail. It is starting to litterally drive me nuts. So I had to keep working and started a new sequence for a new interview from the source interviews. After the edit I decide to export just to see and it exports out. So I thought ok, just some glitch somewhere in the sequence data inside the project file as you suggested. I have to exprt that sequence again because I made a tweak and now it gives me the red media missing again. I thought of starting over but I already have about 40 individual multicam interviews synced together and I do not want to have to redo all that work. I guess I amjust exporting these outthrough PP. I hate when sh*t does not work like it should! Darrel

Hi Everyone, I have been a PP editior for a long time and have seen a lot of crazy bugs etc. this one has me STUMPED. So I Have a project, 2 camera interviews of 5 or 6 people cut together on 1 timeline, straight forward. When I go to export the sequence out in AME It exports out the red "media missing" frame for the entire video every clip. All the media is showing on the Timeline and I checked that every piece of media in the project is linked to the correct location. I do not get the warnig that media is missing and there is no yellow triangle in AME suggesting anything is wrong until it starts to export and I see its the red card. If I export directly from PP all works as it should. to troubleshoot I have: 1. cleared cache both through PP & AME and by hand in the assigned media cache folder and the default location PP & AME would put the media cache. 2. I have un-linked and re-linked all the media for the project. 3. Manually deleted all Temp files 4. Moved media to a different drive and relinked all media. 5. Started a new project and imported the sequence into the new project. Oddly eneough in the new project if I import the same media put it on a timeline I have no problems. If I use the media that was brought in from the import sequence in other sequences no problem. BUT if I copy and paste my entire edited timeline to a new timeline in the new project I get the red screen on export ( same media) I am at a loss. Any ideas? Thanks Darrell

Hi Paul, I store my media in a few places, always in their own drive. The project that is active the media is on an NVME solid state drive. I also have external spinning drives where I keep backup copies and such. I have a seperate SSD drive for Cache files and previews and I have another SSD drive where ai keep only project files. In PP if you right click a clip and select revealin exploroer it takes you to the right place.
