The way to fix this is to open preferences for Photoshop > Camera Raw then select Automatically open all supported JPEGs and HIECs.

I have this problem. The solution however is terrible as jpeg and HEIC are combined. If I turn off jpeg support, and let them open normally in photoshop, I loose HEIC support, and instead get a message saing there is a disk error. Why is jpeg and HEIC combined? But TIFF is seperate for some reason.

I have this same problem. And the fix here does work, thnakyou. I'm including a partial screen shot here to show 6 images all shot at 8mm, one with the "fix" applied. You can even apply the fix in mass. For example I just shot 1167 images at an aircraft museam. 114 are fisheye images. I can sort, select all them all, and apply the fix. But of course I don't think Bridge, ACR, or photoshop are "fixing" my fisheye images by makeing them non-fisheye. They are (explative deleted)ing them up, and I am undoing that. I shot with my $$$ fisheye lens because I wanted a fisheye image. I can't imagine anyone buying a $1200 fisheye lens and wanting non-fisheye images. The profile corrections here are wrong. Imagine if Adobe looked for images shot with f1.2 lenses and then sharpened up the background because they were too blurry.

When I cull I go through photos to select the best I start with a sort by date created. When I give a photo a rating, the sort order changes. The photo will move 2-10 spaces in the order. This is disorienting, and could cause me to miss good photos. As I shoot sports often at 15 or 30 fps, I have many photos shot in the same second. Giving the photo a rating of 1 seems to move the photo to the last phot in that second. Attache dis photo where you can see a rating of 1 star has moved the phtoo out of order.
