Does this look correct? I have removed the number entries from the beginning of all styles, as you and Laura advised. And I have also created a new, separate document specifically for Table of Contents (because I noticed the "table of contents" landmark in the exported epub was just going to the cover as well.) Finally, I went through and modified all files to make sure they all used the new, numberless styles in all locations.

Totally understand the confusion re: the naming - that's a result of banging my head against this for 4 hours yesterday trying everything I could think of, including creating totally new header styles (hence the TOC name,) etc. I am positive that all chapter headers are using the "20 Things Headers TOC" style - the whole header / subheader style thing comes from the TOC tutorial I was following. So the headers use the Header TOC style, and then are styled using the Subheader TOC syle when they're part of the TOC. As requested, here's the table of contents (chapter titles censored for client privacy.) A few more things come to mind as possibly relevant: As you can see from the screenshot above, the titles of many chapters are long. This caused problems by itself early on, because I was using full line breaks to arrange them on the page, which caused each header to be multiple entries. I had to go back through and use shift-enter for soft line breaks to keep this from happening, so now each entry is now coming through as one page reference. But I had to do a bunch of backspacing / removing the soft line breaks in the TOC on the page to make each title a continuous string. I do NOT think this is the cause of the "every page is TOC" issue, because pages are included in the epub TOC which are not included in the InDesign TOC (such as the title page.) Here's what my epub export settings look like. You can see that the TOC is NOT set to be based on file names, but rather on the TOC style. (While I have saved my TOC style, it does not appear on the TOC Style dropdown in this particular menu.) I'm sure there's got to be something obvious I'm missing here, but I have no idea what it is.

I'm at the final step of my first-ever InDesign epub export and I'm running into a maddening issue. When I create my table of contents, it's pulling from a single header style, as shown here: The header style is only used at the beginning of each chapter. Nowhere else. Upon export, my epub is giving me the following error in Sigil: I'm guessing this is related to the other part of my problem, which is that the table of contents in the exported epub is creating entries for every single page. Here it is in Adobe Digital Editions. I have no idea what to do. I don't even know if these two problems are actually related, or if they're two separate issues. I've been following along with this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xkRp7fyP6KM And I used this tutorial for the TOC specifically: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zRD6wHc14S0 Help very very appreciated! This book is for a client, so unfortunately I can't share files, but I am happy to screenshot any settings menus etc. if you tell me where to go.

Hi Matt, just following up after being away over the holiday. As you can see in this thread, I'm not the only one having this issue, and it strangely seems to be attached to the M key specifically for some reason. Affecting users on both PC and Mac. Should this be made into a bug report, or how do we proceed? Issue is still happening for me and the others in this thread.

@mattchristensen I'm on Windows. You were right about the custom keyboard shortcuts - switching to default shortcuts solved the problem. I also added a new custom shortcut for adding a marker to my saved preset, and can leave a marker without opening the dialogue. Is the option to press M twice located in the keyboard shortcuts menu? If so I'm not finding it. Perhaps I could just change that specific shortcut. This has only started happening today, after the 25.1 update.

Hi Matt, it's not the device; I just tested the same keyboard after unplugging and replugging, as well as testing a different keyboard. Still happening. I am pressing M once to add a marker, not twice.

Hi there - just updated to 25.1 and am running into an annoying new feature that I'd like to turn off. When I place a marker on the timeline, it automatically opens a new settings window for that marker. I've looked for a setting to turn this off, but am having no luck so far. I don't always need to add additional info to a marker, and so far this window pop-up is more annoying than useful. Is there any setting to turn this off that I'm just not finding? Thanks.

Hi Annika, I realized from your screenshot that I wasn't in the new "Properties" menu for the graphics; I was using "Effect Controls." I was confused because all the other tools, like font, size, position, stroke, shadow, etc. were all in Effect Controls now, but align specifically was not. I've added the Properties menu to my ribbon now. Thanks for your help!

Since updating to Premiere 25, I cannot find the graphic alignment buttons anywhere. (The ones which you can press to align a graphic, usually text, to horizontal and vertical centers and/or edges.) I used these buttons all the time for my job, and I don't know if they've simply been moved elsewhere in the new interface, or if there's a new method I'm supposed to use to align text & graphics in frame now. I've resorted to eyeballing the position of text & graphics using the safe margins overlay, but this is obviously vastly less efficient than just clicking two buttons to align to horizontal and vertical centers like I could before. Surely there's something I'm missing? Any help is very appreciated! Windows 11, Premiere Pro version 25.0.

This worked! Thank you, I figured it was probably something simple I was overlooking.

Note - my actual result listed in the post is not accurate. The up/down arrow keys DO jump between clips, but they DO NOT select said clips in the timeline. Sorry for the confusion, just a bit of a brain fart there.

This issue has been happening for roughly three months now. I used to be able to navigate through the timeline in the Color Workspace with the arrow keys. The cursor would jump to each clip, selecting them as I went, so I could just keep the mouse among the adjustment sliders. Now, I have to manually click each clip in the timeline in order to select it for editing. Not a big deal, just kind of annoying since I used to not have to do that. This might be as stupid simple as a setting that got changed somewhere, but for the life of me I can't find it, nor do my Google searches turn up results for this specific issue. Any help is appreciated! Premiere Pro v 24.4.1 Windows Version 10.0.19045 Build 19045 Basic Steps: Attempt to navigate timeline with arrow keys in Color Workspace Expected Result: Arrow Keys should jump between clips in timeline, selecting the current one for color edits Actual Result: Arrow Keys move frame-by-frame through the timeline without selecting clips.

Hi all, I'm having a very puzzling issue with Premiere Pro CC. I have created a brand new project. The project itself, and every scratch disk in the Project Settings > Scratch Disks menu, are set to my D drive. Despite this, whenever I import a clip, Premiere is creating a CFA cache file for it on my C drive. This can't continue because my C drive is a very small SSD only used for my OS. I can't figure out why this is happening, especially when all of my settings show that cache files should be going to my D drive. Any help appreciated!
