Ok, so i found a way of making it work - i opened Nikon Transfer 2 and located the camera (while logged in as administrator). after this, LR seemed to tether to the camera without problem.    it's as though i needed to go through this process to initialise the computer recorgnising the camera (even though it was showing up in file manager).    thanks for the help! ... that is exactly what is happening to me also, and it does totally ruin workflow... i tried reverting to CC2018, but the problem is presenting there also. it is now 3 hours past when i was supposed to receive a phone call from adobe tech support, so i think it's probably safe to say that they aren't going to call. ... i have never changed the pen button from right click - i have always used the default setting, so i can confirm it doesn't work in CC2019 or CC2018. i have uninstalled and reinstalled the wacom drivers, and this hasn't done anything either... ... View more

i'm having the problem as you've described it - using the wacom pen to right click and a button on the tablet as "alt", i try to change brush size and get the colour picker tool instead. i've reset preferences, which hasn't worked. i've also rolled back to the previous version of PS, and this also has been unsuccessful. last time there was a major update i had this problem, and none of the things suggested fixed it. it was fixed in a minor update about 4 months down the line. it being that this is the exact same problem, do you think the fix will come quicker this time? or will it take 1/3 of the year again? ... when using a wacom tablet, when i use the spot healing brush in a predominantly vertical direction, rather than apply the spot healing brush PS moves the image vertically (in much the same way it would if i were using the hand tool) wacom intuos pro (latest drivers installed) PS version 19.1.3 windows 10 as mentioned in another thread, i still cannot use the alt key and pen to bring up brush size / hardness, a problem that has been going on for 5 months now... are these problems linked? ... i was overly optimistic. the problem has resurfaced.  it seems to be doing it mostly when i close one file in photoshop and then open another.  i opened a blank document, drew with it changing the settings via dial. i then closed it and opened another blank document. when i used the dial, photoshop crashed.  ... When using my Wacom Intuos Pro, I am unable to change the size  and hardness of my brush (or any similar tool such as heal / stamp tool) using alt and right click (as mapped to a button on the pen).  I have tried the workarounds mentioned in the previous thread, as well as reinstalling Wacom drivers and also Photoshop.  This problem only started when I installed Photoshop CC 2018 19.1.0 . Installing an older version did not solve the problem either.  This problem was mentioned two weeks ago and marked as solved even though the problem persists.
