This is just for future people who also see the original question wasn't answered. Here is the answer: By default, Photoshop will set the leading to (Auto): when the text box is resized, the font is also resized using the same ratios in font size and leading. The way to keep the font size fixed to a certain point size, while allowing the text box to be resized (so that the text flow is changed, as desired, to fit in the new dimensions), is to set the leading to a fixed value. This turns off Photoshop's automatic font resizing as well. The correct fixed value for the leading is, obviously, dependent on the font type and size. From the Character panel, the setting for the leading is to the right of the font size itself: While this is counter-intuitive, it works! It's quite likely that either the defaults for Photoshop changed at some point (i.e., (Auto) became the 'new' default), or you might accidentally reset this to (Auto) without intention — this is one of those settings that persist across sessions... See attachment.

I'll grant you that you answered her extra question she put at the very end of her main question, but her main question remained unanswered regardless of what she said. And sadly, that's my current question. Nobody is answering it anywhere for Photoshop 26.1.0.

This should have said "Type" tab, not menu.

There is nothing in the Menu tab that says "Convert to Paragraph text" in Photoshop 26.1.0

The OP asked how to resize a text box, and you told her how to resize the canvas. These are two totally different things.

It's insane that there isn't an answer for how to fix this.

As a followup, I do all of my exporting through Media Encoder, it's just that once it hits 100% you have to wait a REALLY long time. I have a fairly beefy computer (i7 7700k (which in 2017 is top of the heap), 32gb RAM (also very high compared to most computers in 2017), and a PCI-e SSD (which less than 1% of people have as of this post - even though you future people reading this think these specs are so sad, they are very good for the time being)). And even with this machine, a 2 hour film takes a good 20-30 mins AT 100% to finish render. So just wait. It will happen.

Surely there is an answer out there from Adobe. I don't have the option of "starting a new project", as I've been working on this project for weeks. Now that I'm adding subtitles, this stupid period situation is happening. I also only have the option to change font size if I use "Open Captions", which I don't want to do, but the default font size is so small that it's barely legible; especially with the stupid..... p.e.r.i.ord.... . p.ro.b.l.e.m.....

Just to keep this topic alive, I'm going to just say that I had this EXACT same issue with 2017 Premiere Pro CC. Including how it stuck at 100% multiple times and produced 3 files in my export location. One video, one audio, and one extra with 0 bytes. I am trying to figure out how to work Media Encoder CC 2017 and will edit this post to let everyone know if that worked. EDIT: I rendered it in Adobe Media Encoder CC 2017 and I'm having the exact same problems. Stops at 100%. Any ideas would be great.
