What worked for me: I saw that, apparently after an update, Photoshop was opening my RAW files in 16-bit. That forced the Save As to go to PSD. I changed ACR's file handing to open my CR3 files in 8 bit since I don't need the additional color information, except in rare instances (Apparently an 8 bit image can display 16.7 million colors, meanwhile, a 16 bit image can display 281 trillion colors) Now when I Save my file, it defaults to jpg. Your mileage my vary. Hope that helps.

I had the same issue. I go back to Photoshop Elements for that feature, after using the full Photoshop for the majority of editing. I know it's an additional expense, but it has saved some images for me.

I was editing an older photo and used generative fill. The mask removed part of the models hair. I used generative fill to replace the missing hair. The action got flagged as violating terms of agreement. I don't want to get dinged for something that was harmless. Does Adobe track my "violations"?

I'm coming over from PSE. First off, I'm AMAZED at the results I'm getting with Beta. Congratulations to all involved! I'm having trouble finding the right tools. In PSE, they are colored and easy to differentiate. Could we have the option to have the various tool options in color? That would help with the transition. I'm sure it will come more easily to me, the more I work with it, but just thought I'd ask. Thanks! -Andre

I have successfully installed ACR 13, and it works with PSE 2021 (shows up in About...Plugins). However, when I open a CR3 file, I can only change the white balance. Applying any other slider causes the program to error out.

Hi Peru Bob, thanks for the assist. In PSE 2021, camera Raw 13 won't let me make slider adjustments without erroring out. I can change the white balance, and that's about it. I've gone through all of Adobe's troubleshooting, to no avail. I guess it’s back to my longer workflow steps, but at least I can get some images processed.

Thank you Greg. I was unable to get it to work, but thankfully Adobe release ACR 13, which works with PSE 2021 to show CR3 files. Thanks for the assist!
