Hi all. My wife uses an iPad Pro and PS for iPad to collage. She uses her finger to apply brush strokes on layer masks etc. She prefers not to use an Apple Pencil. Switching to the desktop / macOS version of Photoshop, we have not found a way to use sidecar and have this "touch" functionality with her fingers with PS tools like brushes. Does anyone have suggestion or solutions? Would a Wacom cintiq be a solution? AstroPad Studio? Also, we've been unable to import additional images into layers in macOS PS, where it is easy in PS for iPad. We can only import / open additional files into tabs or separate windows.....what are we missing? Thank you in advance for all replies.

February 2023 and having massive crashing problems with M1 ipad pro and photoshop 24.1 . Is it because I'm using raw dng photos from iphone 14 max pro? It opens in camera raw but crashes every minute or two and now have to get in habit of saving every time I made a move so don't lose all work.

Hello Sameer, thanks for the help, sorry to omit basics. I am using PS 4.3 for iPad not express. iPad IOS version 16.2. IPad Pro M1 3rd gen. Its only a problem with RAW images. Strangely I CAN import Raw DNG files via the NAS (network attached storage ) but not via the Photo roll! None of the images are in the cloud - images exists on iPad. I tried it via Lightroom 8.1.1 which does open in LR Adobe raw and when opening it via LR into PS it gets stuck and says creating preview n goes to 100% but then freezes never opens and have to quit app. Plenty of storage left on iPad. On the 3rd or 4th try via LR it will work and this is great but there are a few more steps to get it into my working document and when have to open up 100 images this way it's well 😳 Do you have another suggestions?

I was just given this suggestion from support with a work around to try for a slightly different problem. I can't open Raw DNG files in Lightroom mobile for iPad from Photo roll. The work around is to open it in Lightroom first then open it in PS. It gets stuck - it says Creating Preview and sometimes will give a cancel button sometimes not. But even tho says 100% won't budge and freezes. Can't cancel out, have to quit app. After the 3rd time sometimes works and opens up but then have to select it and paste it into document. When need to do 100-200 images via Lightroom, it's too many steps. Is there another way?

It's Feb. 2023 and I know PS mobile now supports RAW DNG files but I keep getting an ERROR when trying to open RAW DNG files on iPad M1 pro from Photo Roll and QUOTE, ""Unable to load photo from library. Cannot load representation of type com.adobe.raw-image" . Have the latest PS for Mobile and importing RAW taken from iPhone 14 pro max. The really weird thing is if open a raw file from the NAS - network attached drive - it will open it (!) but not from the photo roll on ipad! I can't use this NAS away from home so need to solve this problem quickly. Thanks for the help.

So I got my printer serviced and it just needed a routine cleaning. When I got it back home nothing changed - it still wouldn't print the edits so tried from photoshop and the same. I tried a jpg instead of a tiff file and the same. I tried the original instead of the virtual copy and the same. So for my last ditch effort I sent the file to my partner to print out and it printed out perfectly from the macbook pro (newer than mine)!! It's a 2019 -16"... WTH???? I have a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2013) w/ catalina 10.15. My lightroom and photoshop is up to date.

Yes don't believe LR at fault and NOW it's not printing ANY file well so think it was just a slow decline of my printer and have taken it in to be serviced. Thanks.

Thank you! Most of my files do work and print with the edits just fine but some files won't take the edits. If the jpeg/tiff is corrupted how can I know? Is there anything I can do?
