I noticed that my catalog hadn't picked up the images from my iphone for a a week or so and checked the usual solutions. With no obvious answer, I called Adobe. I warn people not to call Adobe for help; I should heed my own advice.....After spending way too long on the phone between two days, Adobe told me to manually search for and change the flag status or color of 200 images, manually. Yeah right. I'm surprised that they never suggested that I try a back up catalog. Since syncing, even when it was working, never finished syncing, I decided to burn things down and start over. I deleted the Lightroom app on my phone and re-installed it to dump the photos, and deleted everything from the cloud. Syncing new photos from my phone to Classic is working and most Collections are syncing from Classic to my phone, but some collections aren't and some collections are shrinking in size. I've created new collections to sync and they shrink too. Windows 10

Having a color tag on the right is almost useless. It's not how the eye works. You scan the list of text, not colors. Allowing changing the text color would be so obviously useful.

Since I posted this in 2021, and it still hasn't been implemented, I thought I'd post again.
Please allow to set the cell size, then check a box that says Protect Cell Size so I can move margins but have them stop from encroaching on the cell size. I have to keep going back and forth, an finessing between Margins and Cell Size. Hard to believe that Lightroom is around almost 20 years old and this is still annoying. So simple, it would look like this:
Gridlines, like in Photoshop, for laying our greeting cards would be nice too. Reid

Me too. Since I teach Lightroom Classic and troubleshoot for others, it takes a lot for me to call Adobe when I have an issue (esp when I hear stories from my students about their experiences with Adobe support). Images stopped syncing from my phone to my catalog. They were showing in Lightroom. I tried: Re-building Sync database Re-booting computer Turning sync on and off Uninstalling and re-installing Lightroom Classic I called adobe and they removed one missing photo and insisted that they had to re-build the sync database. (I think they just didn't know what to do) I tried a back up catalog, and when that didn't work, the only think else I thought was downgrading to 12.1 which worked.

Why take away something instead of giving people a choice? This was really integral to my workflow, and what I taught my students. Now I have a whole group of students that I taught a workflow Based on shooting into a collection that doesn't work anymore. It's a lot easier to shoot into a collection then it is to have to assigned to a collection.

It looks like it will work. I did hear back from Adobe. The reason I haven’t tried it is because it’s a real pain to sign out of the app, sign in as a new user with a different account, and then have to sign back in and re-sync all my photos. Reid

Pretty amazing that an Adobe supervisor couldn't answer this question. I was promised a call in a 1/2 hour which never came. Alas, I feel like a spurned bride.... Maybe you can help: I teach photography and an explaining the different plans to my students. Previously versions of Lightroom desktop would work after the trial period, except disabling the Develop and Map modules. Is this still the case? I'm getting a message that the trial period is over and to continue using the software, I have to buy a subscription. So has this changed?

That's the same approach I had thought of as well. I just hoped that there would be something a little bit more elegant, like an option in Lightroom mobile to remove raw files, but keep smart reviews

Is there a way to remove the original images from my phone, but keep smart preview for viewing and editing on my phone? Clearing cache frees up some space, but originals still take up alot. Thanks, Reid
