Hello kind people Ive just updated to the lastest illustrator. Am trying to import my settings, so Edit > My settings> Import Settings. When I chose the saved settings file it says its not correct : Can anybody help me please?

Thanks for the reply...Well the reason I know its changed colour is the I have my work uploaded to a platform and I have the correct hex codes and the hex code changes. I dip the colour dropper into it and its out by some way. It varies with different colours so a black was turning from hex #230444 in illustrator to #21232f when it was pasted to psd. Yet a blue #4044de did not change. A lime green changed from d7fB02 in ai to D6fa02 in psd. Its so annoying!

Can anyone help please ? I’m making icons in illustrator and then copying and pasting into photoshop - which I’ve always done for 15 yrs ! However now the colours change slighltly when they get to PSD ! I’m using all the most up to date versions as am fully subscribed. My PC is windows 10 and all up to date . Any ideas ? I like to save my icons to jpgs in Photoshop as find easier but this is really upsetting my work flow ... thanks in advance . Ps yes files both in RGB and the colour profiles all the same .

They are grouped in their own groups for each icon but on the same layer. However this may not be the case in other instances of the dropper not working....

Hi Srishti So Im on a Dell PC with Windows 10 all updated. Im using lastest version of ai 23.? downloaded from my full subscription account. Basically the eyedropper tool will not pick up colour from jpg artwork, and not from other vectors either ... on some occassions. See attached screen shot, I was trying to get the selected lines to turn to a lighter grey and I dropped the tool on the grey of the other icon and it turned the correct colour but wrong opacity! The tool used to give me the same opacity and colour whether I dropped from a vector or a jpg! I end up having to make object compound... that sometimes works, other times doesnt, and I have to then try cutting and pasting it to a new layer..... Its such a pain and waste of time. And yes all the eyedropper options are ticked.

So is there a fix for this, its a nightmare not having the eyedropper work I have just updated to CC2019. This is so ineffectual compared to illustrator 2012!! {Branched and Renamed by MOD}

Hi All This has happened to me before I cant remember how I resolved it. Every time I try to move an object /vector anything, it just pings at me, the noise that means 'no can do.' I just dont know why. Ive tried closing it all down, and re starting, and tried opening different files. Any ideas any one can help? many thanks Catherine

Thank you Dave. Ok I will try to just drop it in, I may have to get back to you tomorrow as am not at my desk now, but it's a timeline and because I've cross faded it with the next png and have text layers above it I don't want to lose the exact place and fade that ive already done. thanks Catherine
