Just reporting that I appear to have solved the problem on my computers at least. Granting full disk access to Lr allowed it to see and import photos from cameras as normal again, which is great. Strangely, even if I then revoked full disk access from Lr after that, it still retained access to removable volumes and kept functioning normally, which is good. I'm guessing a software update (either from Lr or MacOS) caused Lr to lose permission to access removable volumes that it previously had. Thanks for all of the help!

My Mac image capture and Apple Photos both can detect the camera. It just appears to be Lr that cannot.

I have attempted this and it did not resolve the issue. Also, I should add that the behaviour is the same on multiple Mac computers running the same OS version.

Hello. As of recently, LrD 7.5 (running on a Macbook Air using MacOS 14.6.1) no longer recognizes and cannot import photos directly from cameras. I have in the past been able to click the "add photos" button when a camera is plugged in and powered on and quickly be taken to an import window, but as of recently when I click the button the camera can no longer be found even when it is plugged in and powered on. Other software, ie. Apple Photos, does still recognize the camera when LdR does not. I can apparently still import into lightroom from a memory card reader, just not directly from a camera. I wonder if a bug has been introduced in a recent LR update or a recent MacOS update has caused problems with permissions?

No, all keywords have been added in Lr desktop or mobile - none from Classic.

About 12,000. Older keywords still consistently appear in search normally, however.

When I search a series of keywords that I added days or even months ago, search returns no results. Only ones that have been there for a matter of years appear to be returning results. This seems to the case both on Lr mobile and Lr desktop.

Hello. I've been finding that more recently added metadata, such as lens models and manually added keywords, are not appearing in search in Lr desktop or mobile on any of my devices. I'm not sure exactly where the time cutoff is, but keywords and lenses that I have been using for some time appear, but more recently added ones do not, either as autocompletes or as search results. All manually added keywords still appear in the 'keyword' drop-down menu; more recently added ones just do not appear in search. Might this be a bug? Thanks very much in advance for your assistance.

Hello,
I have been observing for some time that the LR mobile in-app camera seems to consistently overexpose photos. It is most obvious when shooting DNGs (either on automatic or HDR modes) before making any adjustments in post. See attached photos for examples right out of the LR app camera with no adjustments made; these strike me as quite bright and look more properly exposed to me if I dial back the exposure slider in LR by about 0.50. I have been sure to confirm that I have not altered any other settings that might cause this and I have been using the most recent app versions over the past several updates. I am using an iPhone 14 Pro and an iPad Air (it happens on both devices) on consisterntly the most recent OS software. Can someone from Adobe please look into this and confirm whether there might be a bug here? Thanks very much.

Can someone from Adobe please comment on/look into this? This seems like a serious bug related to syncing. It is still happening to me as well with some photos. I have not been able to pick up on any kind of pattern so far as to which ones it starts randomly happening to, but it has only started happening in the last few months.

Can someone from Adobe comment on this issue? Is this intentional behaviour that DNG photos taken with the LR mobile camera come out bright compared to both JPGs and the camera previews? Or might this be a software bug?

I have had this exact issue arise a few times recently. It only started happening in the last couple of months, so it might be a bug introduced in a recent update. My workaround was to export the original image, delete the copy still in LR, then re-import the original. Yes, all edits would be lost at this point, but so far I have only had to do this with a small handful of photos, so it hasn't been a major problem to just edit then again. I hope whatever this sync error is gets ironed out soon.

Hello. LR Desktop is getting so close to being at parity for editing features with LR Classic! One thing that is still missing though is a manual option for lens corrections. Currently, if there is no matching profile for your lens, you cannot resort to correcting distortion and vignetting manually like you can in LR Classic and ACR. The vignette tools in the Effects tab or not an adequate substitute for manual vignette correction - they seem to work differently than the manual vignette correction tools found in LR Classic and ACR and do not produce the same results. Please add these lens correction tools back to LR Cloud!

I have my import settings set to "camera settings" with no additional adjustments, but having now checked, switiching it to Adobe default does not change the outcome from what I reported above. All three camera modes you list suffer from the same issue. Only setting the LR camera to JPG instead of DNG produces a properly exposed photo. When I referred to automatic adjustments in my previous comment, I was referring to the "auto" adjustments LR mobile automatically applies specifically to HDR photos taken on the LR camera - this is a normal behaviour.

Thanks for your response. No additional settings have been touched on either device that this appears to be happening with, as far as I can tell. Even the previews look normally exposed. Nonetheless, the final DNGs come out overexposed, while the JPGs look fine. If I try shooting the same scene in HDR mode (still saved as a DNG), it does look a bit better right out of camera, but as soon as you reset the automatical adjustments LR mobile applies you can still see it is overexposed. See attached images for illustration. 0052: JPG right out of camera, auto exposure; 0053: DNG right out camera, auto exposure; 0055-hdr: DNG, HDR mode, automatic adjustments applied; 0055-hdr-2: DNG, HDR mode, automatic adjustments reset.

Hello. As of at least the most recent versions of Lightroom mobile on both iOS and iPadOS (8.01), the Lightroom mobile camera appears to be significantly overexposing photos when shooting in DNG mode. Photos shot with identifcal settings except in JPG mode appear normally eposed. I am seeing this same behaviour in the LR camera when shooting on both an iPhone 14 pro and a iPad air and it appears to be happening consistently on both devices regardless of shooting conditions. See the attached pair of photos shot using the LR camera on the iPhone 14 pro. Both photos were shot on auto mode and no further post-processing was done on either photo - the only difference between them is that APC_0044 was shot as a DNG (I had to convert it to JPG to attach it here) and APC_0045 was shot as a JPG. Could this apparent overexposure on the DNG photo be a software bug? Thanks for the help.

Please add manual (ie. no specific lens profile) lens correction tools akin to those found in LR Classic and Camera Raw to LR cloud. Currently, we cannot use the distortion and vignette correction tools from the Optics section of LR cloud if we do not first assign a lens profile. Having generalized, non-profile specific tools available in this section would make working with lens corrections much easier for those whose lenses that are not supported with Adobe correction profiles. Thank you very much.

I know variations on this request have come up numerous times, but I'm putting this out there anyway. It would be extremely helpful if Adobe would allow LR users to adjust the strength which which distortion and vignetting corrections provided by built-in lens correction profiles are applied after the files are imported into LR. Currently, as many have pointed out before, with cameras that incorporate built-in profiles into raw files, LR reads the distortion and vignette correction settings set in camera and applies those to raw files; users cannot then change those in-camera settings in LR. This is problematic for many reasons. For example, if a raw file was set to have no vignette correction in camera, it can become difficult to then correct vignetting in LR, as there is no custom lens profile available. Additionally, using Nikon Z lenses an an example, even the highest in-camera vignette control settings often do not fully eliminate vignetting (see the attached photo, shot on the Nikkor Z 24-70 f/4 at 70mm and f/4 with in-camera vignette correction set to high). While one can still obviously use general correction tools in LR and PS to try to fix such optical flaws, it would be much quicker and easier to precisely fix these issues if the strength of built-in profile's vignette correction could simply be adjusted with a slider in LR, much like can still be done with Adobe's own lens correction profiles. Other software, such as Capture One, already allows users to adjust built-in lens correction profiles in this way. Please consider, Adobe!

Since updating to LR 2.4 for desktop (on my MacBook Pro running Mojave), it is no longer possible to adjust sliders for additional sharpening settings in the detail panel (e.g. radius and masking) unless the sharpening amount slider is changed from the default setting of 40. I'm assuming this is a bug. I would appreciate if this were fixed asap. Thanks very much.

Thanks for fixing! Would Adobe consider issuing small bug fix releases for LRCC more frequently than the normal 2-month major update cycle as issues like this are identified? On both the 1.3 and 1.4 releases, simple bugs were introduced that significantly impacted my workflow. It would be desirable to have little things like this fixed promptly and avoid having to wait for the next feature-expanding update just to be able to use the program normally again. Thanks again for your help!
