This is happening to me as well. I opened an .ai file originally created in 2024 with dozens of photos placed (linked, not embedded). Had no issues with photos auto-rotating when I created the document, saved pressready PDFs, and printed. As of today, every time I open the file, 17 of the photos (out of maybe 100; all jpgs) are rotated 90 degrees. I've corrected them within Illustrator three times, and when reopening the file, they revert to rotation. The original files in the packaged links folder are not flipped. Mac, Illustrator 29.2.1, file is packaged and saved in Dropbox.

I hadn't encountered this issue until today, but I can't upload any images when scheduling. I've been trying with still images only (PNGs, low-res) and none of them work. Have tried the tips listed (clearing cache and browser history and restarting computer) and it still does not work.

Hello—I'm reopening my request for help because I just attempted to save a post and it did not appear in my scheduling tool, it appears to have vanished. Saving drafts is an important feature and it's either buried or buggy. HELP!

You're the best!!! That sidebar is closed by default and I'd never have found it on my own. Thank you! Have to admit I'm frustrated that a) Adobe hid that so well, and b) they haven't responded in 3 months.

A scheduled video post worked today, for the first time since I reported the issue here on 11/16. But someone else just responded that their still image failed, so it sounds like the issue is inconsistently occuring.

Had another one fail this morning: https://new.express.adobe.com/schedule?postId=1abce9e4-ff36-4243-931a-2cfcffd743e7 Now that more time has passed, I see that static posts work fine. It's only video posts that are failing every time they're scheduled. So I'm definitely connected to Instagram correctly—something with the scheduling tool and video format is the problem (in my case). Thanks.

I was scheduling a social post and saved it as a draft/unscheduled posts. But I don't see a way to find it. Where are they located? There is nothing on the calendar or in "Your Stuff". Thank you!

Hi, within the last few days, every time I attempt to place an image into an illustrator document, the image automatically embeds. I can’t find a preference that may be causing this. How can I fix it? Thanks!

Thank you, Bob. Although that seems like it would be the answer, I only had version 13.1 installed. After getting the error message, I updated to 14.0.1 so my file wouldn't be held hostage (LOL), but it definitely wasn't on there before.

Yesterday I was working on a file I created. I saved my work and quit ID. Today when I tried to reopen the same file on the same laptop, I got this error message... I have made no changes to my CC apps in the last 24 hours. Can anyone help?

Think I'm having the same issue—"create PDF compatible file" has always been checked by default in my experience, and suddenly mine is unchecked. Would be great for Adobe to fix so that it stays put, whichever option you choose!

Happens to me all the time—open a file, and can see it listed under Windows, but the file isn't visible. Windows > Arrange > Float in Windows worked—thank you very much, RepulseMonkey! My workaround has been to quit Illustrator & relaunch until I can see the file.
