Is there an answer for combining objects rather than grouping. I'm finding myself visiting Tinkercad to do the basics and then bringing the STLs back into Dimensions which I'd rather not do.

Oh yes, that's what I meant, I have updated the topic. Thanks!

That's what I'm doing in the mean time, but it will need to be addressed anyway. I'm not a fan of the new gradient tool at all, but there must be a good reason for the update so I want to try and get used to it.

I'll also add, if you accidentally move the gradient start and end points off the canvas it will also bug out.

I am having an issue where it's not possible to draw a gradient in a Layer Mask if your starting point is off the canvas; it glitches out immediately. It works OK as a standard Gradient Layer, just not when in a Layer Mask. Adobe Photoshop 25.4 on an Apple M1 Pro running Mac OS 12.6.5

I can report I am also experience the same issue after updating to Photoshop 24.3 on Mac OS 12.6.3 I have Enable Legacy "Save As" selected and I have also re-built my action after updating and it still errors. I can also report that this issue causes my AppleScripts with "save <OpenDoc>" steps in them to fail with exactly the same error, however I have been patching them with essentially the Save As function "save <OpenDoc> in file <OpenDocsPath> as Photoshop format" to get them going again.

Ahh, so glad to see this is a bug, I was worried my knowledge of colour management was wrong or that I was missing something. My workarounds for this are: Turning off colour management and ensuring all my source assets have the sRGB profile embedded OR Exporting a MOV from After Effects, then converting that file in Media Encoder to the output settings I require.

Hmm, once I had my coffe and realised I hadn't updated my script properly as JonathanLo explained it just worked for me. I think I did have to grant extra privlidges in the Security & Privacy Settings of the OS, I can't remember excatly what it was now. I have given AppleScript Editior Accessbility and Full Disk Access. Photoshop has Full Disk Access on my Mac. Not a fan of all Apple's changes to AppleScript, I am just a graphic artist that tinkers in scripting and they've made it so much more difficult to write and deploy scripts to my collegues; I feel like you need to be a full time scripter/programer to keep up now.

Forget my response here, I clearly haven't had my coffee yet this morning, and for some reason can't edit or delete my post! I had several spots in my script that needed addressing and forgot to edit the part I needed for the job I tested with.

Thanks, although, I just tested and it doesn't work – actually I think that is another bug in Photoshop, I have never had luck using ignoring application responses in Photoshop, I know I have tried in the past with a different function that was creating the same irrelevant error, I just can't remember the specific details. To be honest AppleScript in general doesn't perform that well in Photoshop or Illustrator, I wish it was effortless as it is in InDesign – however, it might push me to get more comfortable with JavaScript some day.

Confirmed the problem still exists in Photoshop 2022, my work around to use the latest is to catch the error in script, although it doesn't supress the error message, at least by doing so it will let the script continue. The multiple errors get tedious to clear unfortuntately.

Since upgrading Photoshop to 22.5.0 on my Mac OS 11.5.2 I have a problem with the following command in all my AppleScripts that feature it:
make new path item with properties {entire path:PathDetails, name:"Path Name", kind:normal}
Photoshop will throw the error "Could not complete the command because of a program error.", but will continue on and execute the above command anyway.
I have wound back Photoshop to the previous version and the expected behaviour is restored.

Actually I am still having the trouble after updateing 24.0.1 – Is there a chance you unwittingly selected "Don't Show Again"?
