I absolutely agree, this simplest scaling algorithm MUST be available as it's the only algorithm to preserve actual pixels in integer upscaling. I'm quite surprised that Adobe employees have such limited knowledge of the basics of image processing and editors' needs.  If it were possible to upvote 1000 times for this suggestion, I would do this. it is VERY important for anyone who edits screencasts. One possible workaround for editing screen recordings that require integer zoom, is to use Photoshop (!) for editing the screen sequence. Yes, Photoshop can edit videos and has keyframes for transformation. To be able to use transformation keyframes it's necessary to convert the video layer to Smart Object. Also, change the default interpolation method to the nearest neighbor in Edit → Preferences → General → Image Interpolation.  Output video parameters are limited but it's something better than Premiere's blurry mess anyway.  ... I feel the same as you Jake.  What's keeping me with Premiere is Excalibur.  I talked about the creator, Ivan, to someone on the Adobe team (don't remember who), but was told that Adobe won't go anywhere near him just because he's Russian.  I don't know if I was given correct information or not, or if that information still stands, but if it is indeed the case, I find it ridiculous.  Ivan has done more to benefit Pr users over the past few years than the entire Pr team has!  I was Ivan's #1 beta tester worldwide when Excalibur came out, so I know the tool inside out.  If something like that became available for Davinci Resolve, I'd probably be able to finally make the move over.  ... @jiachengc49413218 et al.  We just fixed this issue in beta.  Update your beta to version 25.2 build 50 or later.  Now, when you reduce the timeline's zoom level, short-duration clips will no longer look like gaps.  It turns out this issue has been there for quite some time, long before the recent clip UI adjustments.  Nevertheless, we have fixed this issue now.    You can test this with the following steps Steps to reproduce the problem Create a sequence with several very short clips (2 or 3 frames) in between longer clips (30 seconds or so) Zoom out in the timeline until the short clips blend into a single black rectangle Result:  The result looks like a gap.  Once the horizontal resolution of the clip crosses a minimum threshold, only the 1px gap is left.  When several clips are next to each other in this scenario, the 1px borders add up to look like a dark gap.   We changed it to remove the black 1px border when the clip gets below a minimum threshold so only the label fill color remains.  This looks WAY better IMO.  What do you think?   ... Thank you, @Kevin-Monahan for the check-in.   I tend to use Beta for most of my videos, so I already used the fixed version for a while.   Now, I tested version 24.5 (official release from 29 days ago) and I exported two files (once through Premire Pro itself, once through Media Encoder).   I am able to seek through both of the files (PP & ME export). So it seems this is fixed in stable & beta now.   I am thankful that this is finally done.   But, please, let me iterate:   I still hold my point: taking a full year to fix such a basic issue (exporting a world standard video format) is ridiculous and should NEVER happen. This 100% cannot be in the interest of Adobe, and there really needs to be some work done on internal processes if this is how problems are treated and fixed. ... View more

Hi @VictoriaNece ,   Stumbling upon this recent post and like to ask. Could we have a mechanism in place that keeps the user choice fixed? Sometimes AE force switches Mercury engine to software only if a project is very heavy, but in doing so it also sets the LUT interpolation to Trilinear. This is not restored back to Tetrahedral when changing the playback engine back to GPU afaik. Would be nice if that's remembered. Or even better Tetrahedral would always be the option and also function on the CPU? Not sure if there is a reason it can't... ... View more

But our graphics tools are not affected by this value.  It's up to you to set the level properly for graphics.   Hi @Francis-Crossman If this is the case, why are my graphics/texts/titles getting darkened when I export a video? My sequences are either PG or HLG, and if draw a white (#FFFFFF) box or text using and adjust it 1000 nits, it exports as 100 nits gray. This happens whatever graphics white level I have set (100/203/300) for the project and during export. If my working profile is HLG, I export to HLG, and if it's PQ, I export to PQ (tested with and without HDR10 metadata).  My video footage exports fine. It's just the graphic elements that change. If the max brightness of a video clip is 1000 nits, it will be 1000 nits after export.   My export settings are: HEVC (H.265), Max Depth, Max Render Quality, Hardware Encoding (for HLG only), Profile: Main 10, Level: 5.1, Tier: High, Color Space: Rec. 2100 HLG or PG. Tested with both HDR10 Metadata on and off and set appropriately.   Any help would be great. Thank you! ... View more
