Thanks, I hope abode will add this in the future. They are surly aware of this becuase after generating the image the view chnages to fit the correc angle of the generated image. I think it should be the other way round. That the generated image will fit the view.

Hey, @danl42831687. Thanks for sharing the details. I'll help you figure this out.
In Photoshop, go to Edit > Preferences (CTRL+ K) & > Technology Previews & unselect 'Deactivate Native Canvas' & check how it goes.
Another step to test is to go to Edit > Performance (CTRL+K) > Advanced Settings > Try enabling & disabling 'GPU Compositing' to test if the issue exists.

The action can simply add a new blank layer and then merge visible. This way a single layer image will not cause the action to fail. There is still an issue with hidden layers though.

I had a similar issue just now in MacOS Sonoma 14.1. I had the beta Photoshop installed along with the production release v24. Opening from LrC (latest) opened just fine in the beta Photoshop. I uninstalled the beta because I didn't need it anymore (I only had it installed to try the then-new AI generative fill stuff), then when I tried open-in from LrC, it opened Photoshop 24, but didn't open the file. I uninstalled and re-installed Photoshop, and now the edit-in opens the file correctly.

If there is a selection, then LayerViaCopy creates a LayerN. If there is no selection, then LayerViaCopy creates the same name and adds copy N (If enabled in the layers panel to add the word "copy" when duplicating). If you use the "Duplicate" command, then there will always be a Name + (copy N, if the option is enabled).

Comming back to this post after 1 year, I can say the UXP is very much mature for any CEP migration. Once going over some tutorials and attending this forum I found that the process of migratin is relativly simple. What spקeds up the process is UXP flowless debugging capabilities. I have 6 pluggins. I started with the simpliest one, which took some time but after that, the rest went relativly fast. The process of developing a plugin with UXP is much faster using javascript, html & css.

I use the linked raw Smart Object workflow all the time, and it’s a little flaky sometimes, but mostly it works.
To get Lightroom Classic adjustments to Camera Raw, as already said, you do need to use the Save Metadata to File command to get the edits outside of the Lightroom Classic catalog where Camera Raw can see them. Normally, it should automatically update in Photoshop; if it doesn’t try choosing Layer > Smart Object > Update Modified Content.
Going the other way, if you ever make Camera Raw edits to the linked Smart Object and want them to show up back in Lightroom Classic, in the catalog you’ll want to select the raw/DNG file and use the Read Metadata from File command. Sometimes the image preview doesn’t update and you have to toggle back and forth between the two most recent History panel states in Lightroom Classic.

Hi
The problem is that your letter surfaces are sharing the same UV space with the parts of the unwrapped surfaces overlapping rather than being laid out as separate islands on the UV map.
You could address this in two ways:
1. On import to Painter - use Auto unwrap - with UV Islands set to "Recompute All" in options If you use this method, take the model back to 3D Stager by using Painter's File > Send to > Send to Substance 3D stager. You will probably need to scale up the painted model to get it back to it's original size.
or
2. In 3D Stager convert the letters to standard models and separate them. to do that:
a. Select the text object and use Object > Convert to standard model
b. Click away from the letters then click on them to reselect them and use Object > Ungroup. This will give you separate models named Glyph 1 , Glyph 2 ...etc
c. Put a separate material on each glyph object (i.e. each letter) by going to the material properties for each glyph object, clicking the link symbol under the material which will change it to Default, then giving that letter a basecolor Hue that is different for each letter. See below:
d. Select all the letters (or just some if you want to export some separately and export to GLTF
e. In painter you should see a separate material for each letter with no overlaps on the UVs
You can now carry on and bake as normal

I don't remember exactly when they added the Preference to turn off Real-Time Preview. Maybe you removed Preferences when you upgraded which reverted it to the default settings.
