Yesterday, Gen fill stoped working as well as it had since it came out and was the beta version. I photograph events taken indoors on astroturf. Often, I use gen fill when I've not framed the subject and need to fill in the astroturf at the bottom of the image because I shot the image too low in the frame. Since yesterday, the AI isn't working as well. It now makes it look horrible. I've been filling the same exact subject matter forever. Now it comes out looking wrong. Sad that Content Aware fill now works better than the AI (gen fill.)  It's like they took my Christmas presents away from me.  Who stole my candy? This is all I do all day, every day with the exception of the handful of days a year that I photograph these events. So, it's not like I don't know the difference.  So sad that now 10% of the images I was able to use are no longer going to be viable and my workflow is going to take me so much longer again... I got spoiled! They've done something to the "I" part of AI in the past two days. I've already been on a remote session with Adobe, so they've seen it.  The CSR did not have an answer and will forward this to the development team (I hope!) After trying to find the answer with support from 5:45 last night until 5:40 this morning, that's exactly what was determined.  I still had older versions sitting in File Explorer that were causing it. ISSUE #2 RESOLVED  Generative Fill is now in regular Photoshop. Uninstalled Beta and installed normal version ISSUE #1 RESOLVED Although I had the newest versions of both programs, there was still an older version of Photoshop on my computer in File Explorer.  Removing it from my computer and clearing the additional external editing program from Preferences in Lightroom solved the problem.  Thank you everyone!   I work with RAW files. I've used the same workflow for years. Everything was fine until a few hours ago. I don't use LRC to manage all of my files. I don't import all of them. I take at least 100,000 images during a 3-day event. I move the files that I'm going to work with at the time to my computer. Workflow: I import a single image into LRC, move it to develop, do my edits, and then move the image to PS. When I move that image to PS, all of a sudden a new TIFF file is being saved on my computer. I never asked that image to be saved on my computer. I just wanted it to move to PS. It's never saved that extra TIFF file with my initial edits before.  It never saved that extra unwanted file before a few hours ago. That's issue #1.  RESOLVED SEE ABOVE Issue #2 is that for years, once I finished working on it in PS and saved it with it's new name, for years, that processed and renamed file would show up back in LRC and could be worked again. I never had to do anything in the past to make that happen. Now, the only thing that's showing in the Library is the original file that I edited and the duplicate that got unwantedly saved to my computer when I moved it from LRC to PS the first time. I can only help with that "annoyingly shoving itself to the center of the photo you're working on". Grab that AI Generative fill mini toolbar by the solid white vertical line on the left side of it and pin it to the top of your screen or on the top toolbar. Select the three dots and select "pin bar position" from the drop-down menu. We're all waiting for them to work out the other bugs. Try to install 25.0 to see if some of them were fixed for you.     ... View more

No!  Go to the creative cloud for your account and click on the three dots to the right of your version of LRC.  It will give you the option for previous versions. I'm so thrilled to be able to work again! ... View more

Try to roll back your LR install to version 12.2.1 to use with PS beta 25. I'm not thrilled either. They still haven't fixed the lack of a brush tool to use with select and mask. Everything was fine in 24.6, but nothing but the newest version 25.0 is working anymore.  Good luck!   ... View more

That would be fine if 25.0 was working properly.  Now, you can't use the earlier ones either.  Thanks, Adobe! The last time that there was a brush tool for select and mask that worked was with 24.6. Until 2 days ago, I was happily using that version because it worked. Then that one stopped working. After 2 1/2 hours with support yesterday and 2 uninstall and reinstalls, it was determined that 24.7 worked best.  Now, that won't work for generative fill. I agree with you that there should be a way to set your default position. It's ridiculous to have to have it on top of your work floating around the screen. I put it on the top right of the toolbar. I suggested it weeks ago.  I process all day most days, so I generally only have to pin it to the top bar once a day. Love the program, but now have had to reinstall the previous version due to the lack of a circle to select and mask. Now, if I can just get rid of that update available box... ... View more

Thank you for understanding that I just couldn't understand how to do it the way that everyone was telling me.  I was still thinking that I had to use that little check box. Nobody ever said, "highlight the entire line of the last action that you want to delete."  I assure you that it's my lack of technical expertise.
