I'm using an early Macbook Pro 13" (A1502) on Monterey. Today I update to latest Photoshop Beta 25.0 and Lightroom Classic 15.2 release/Camera Raw 15/5 and get the message:
Mac OS X version 13.4.0 or later is recommended for maximum performance and correct operation of Adobe Photoshop 2024. An earlier version of Mac OS X was detected.
What kind of (lack of) support is this? I and others are being forced to cancel our subscriptions if Adobe cannot maintain support for perfectly fine and fast legacy machines. Please stop resorting to anti-consumer practices (radical obsolesence) for their financial benefit.
There are other systems out there, and the only thing keeping me (and others) loyal is our stubborness to confront the learning curve of a new environment.

Thank you for the experimentation (with Adobe) I can concur that there are benign requests that Adobe will fault you for, even threaten to terminate your account over. In one of my 'experiments' I tried to increase the bust line of a dressed woman in a test photo I took where the outfit we were trying was a bit too large. Nope! I received my first error. Then I attempted to darken the skin of a light-skinned subject because the image was slighty over exposed... I asked to 'darken skin.' Adobe AI decided I needed a completely different woman, now dark skinned (but still blown out) corn rows/braids, and her bust line was huge and displayed < this was perplexing. So WE cannot violate terms (including if misperceived) but Adobe reserves the right to do so? I haven't had the luck that others have in their online demonstrations of getting something that looks realistic. It's alway some really bizarre face or object that doesn't match what I asked for. Perhaps this is Adobe AI's way of punishing me for it's failure to identify true violations and projecting its AI bias on me in very passive aggressive ways... lol I've had the same issue with Instagram: I reported offensive ads and then got 40 weeks of twice-daily notifications reminding me that they removed an offensive ad that violated their terms. When that finally resolved (on its own - no human assistance) I got temporarily suspended for reporting a 'pornographic ad' that Instagram threw in my face! The point being that Instagram (and Adobe) are using 'bots' to do their dirty work; but, their bots are dirty and too simlistic to make the right choices and not harm others. The are a bit like goons. There are NO humans involved in the review process anymore - This is terrifying.

I feel for you. I just did an update to LR and PS and have just discovered that two of my LR folders in Pictures have been affected. One is completely empty - the other seems to have just a fraction left of the few hundred images that were in there. (I am %$#@#$) This was after an update, 12.0 release. And the Catalog that is open at the moment has all of the images (at least that I can see) but the respective folder of RAW files (usually in Pictures) has vanished. Where did it go? Well! I'll tell ya! Three folders have been placed in %^$# Dropbox! I never asked for or selected Dropbox. I can't stand that application! So what the hell, Adobe? This was an 'update' issue, not a selection.

You mean 'your' issue hasn't happened for a year...? Because, like I said, I still had the issue in PS 23.1.0 (a few weeks ago) and I haven't used the recent PS update 23.1.1 enough to test yet. J

No. None of the updates fixes this problem - or states as much. I am now on Big Sur (11.4) Photoshop 23.1.1, Lightroom 11.1, and ACR 14.1 Problem still exists in the previous PS update 23.1.0 when opening a RAW file from Lightroom to Photoshop. I doubt this latest update will make any difference. Not sure why you're convinced Big Sur will fix the problem since this issue has been going on for years.

Yep! Welcome to the club! Some get a progress bar that can be hidden behind other windows, and some get a permanent bar that has to be moved about. I get both and a host of other issues that persist through all the updates. Amazing how Adobe continues to ignore this. Such indifference!

I jinxed myself. Progress bar has returned 😕 I also turned off tool tips, as a 'workaround' to them 'sticking' to the screen. The bigger annoyance for me atm is the erratic scrolling of my image that often never ends. I have to input a scroll in the opposite direction to get it to stop. Very annoying! I'm finding these 'Forums' rather contentious. There are no Adobe tech mods? And we cannot 'rant'? So basically we're all here to figure out how to fix/patch/workaround Adobe bugs and flaws ourselves? Stupid.

This 'issue' has subsided for me for a while; however, I am now getting the help window, that pops up for tools, lingering on the screen - like the progress bar we're all 'p*ssed' about. For me, it seems to have traded one problem for another, with the added bonus of scrolling being erratic and persistent: if I scroll in one directin, it continues to scroll (move the image) in that direction until I add an opposing scroll or drag. So annoying!!!

Whenever PS opens a file - usually from LR - it leaves a useless progress bar on screen. It cannot be cancelled, only hidden behind the workspace. PS also tends to screw up LR to PS as Layers. PS opens two independent windows/images and the Background layer gets corrupted. This has been going on for years/many updates, as indicated by the threads in your forum. Why does Adobe continue to ignore chronic bug reports like this? PS 22.2.0 LR 1011 release, Build [202101041610-8c69aa4e] Camera RAW 13.1 Jay PS: Also, on Retina Macbooks the cursor is impossible to see. One has to push the Option key to reveal it. Please consider adding a more effective cursor strategy for screen resolutions like Retina. Thank you

It's been months and I still have this problem. I also have the issue where Opening as Layers (from LR to PS) doesn't work most of the time. You get two separate images and an odd blank layer. I'm fed-up with the goons at Adobe continuing to roll out pointless new features/gimmicks while leaving these obvious issues unresolved. It's total contempt.

I have the same issue/problem. It's extremely annoying. My CC Subscription is up-to-date and nothing has changed in any of the last few updates. There are references to this issue dating at least to 2018. Why isn't it fixed yet? I also struggle with trying to open multiple images as layer in PS from LR. It still places them in separate tabs and leaves a vestige layer where the background ought to be. Also very frustrating/annoying. There just needs to be a FIX on Adobe's end, not continually 'suggest' we delete/reset preferences files and re-install everything. Please.

I get a useless progress bar for a few different items, and it just stays on screen despite Photoshop completing the process. It's sitting on my desktop right now. Very annoying. There are so many other 'bugs' I send reports on that have stuck around for the past few updates. I see people complaining about it, but no 'fix' has come down the pike at all.
