We are planning to re-do a "getting started" series as there was a major UI change in the last release 5.0.
As you start learning Sampler, please let me know when you feel like you are stuck and can't find material that explains to you how you can acheive your goals, it will help us greatly making sure that we tackle those aspects in the future.

Hi Isa, Could you please send us the log file linked to a session where you encountered this issue? - When you are in Sampler if it is currenlty happening, go to the Help menu and select the Export log file item.
- If you have closed Sampler but it happened in the previous session you can grab it from your files: C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Adobe\Adobe Substance 3D Sampler\log.txt

There is no option in this tool today to define the physical size of the texture created, however the output is not fixed to one square meter. You could try to add words in your prompt where it would define a larger scale output!
Content aware for the "exterior" to extend a texture like it exists in photoshop does ot exist in Sampler currently, and unfortunately we don't have any tools that would answer your need. However it is good for us to know that there would be a need for it to make this into a reality!

Hi @Two_Split4460 , you could split the stars into another sayer to assign different embroidery styles by color patch. For the stars, as they are thin and need precision, you could use the "topstitch" design for more precision (in real life this is what embroidery designers would do)

Thank you for your feedback. This is something that other users have expressed interest in, and we are indeed looking at how this could be done.
Which software do you use today to create the mesh?
I know this is not the topic of the post but it would be very valuable for us if you could list the issues you have with the meshes generated in Sampler, as our goal is to improve on that front as well.

Can you please try to not use image to material, but to instead add directly the embroidery filter to your stack and drag and drop the image in the image space in the embroidery filter parameters? You should not have the image shown beneath this way

Hi @lil_safni, which version of Sampler and which embroidery filter are you using? When drag and dropping the reference image into the latest version of the embroidery filter the result is quite similar to the reference you are sharing (cf image).
I have not watched this video recently, but it is three years old and the filter has been updated since, so the tweaks and default states might not be comparable! You will find more information about the latest version of the embroidery filter in this documentation page.

Thank you for your patience!
When you load an image in a project it is not linked from your original folder, it is copied. This is why when you update your image in your original folder it is not updated. This is to avoid issues in projects when users move around their folders/ressources.
What would be advised for next time would be for you to right click on your imported image in Sampler and select "Edit in Photoshop" which allows to update both versions of the file.
You could also have drag&dropped your updated image from your folder to where it is used in the stack to replace it.
For your 3rd point: the "your asset" folder is on the C:user...... hard drive. All assets deleted from there is deleted for good from THIS folder. It there is a copy elsewhere it is not touched. Like the "original" image is in the back up folder of your project we won't be doing any changes to it or deleting it.

It looks like the filters have been deleted. Did you do any cleanup yourself? Did it happen after you updated version from a version to another?
Could you please try to completely dinsinstall and cleanly delete sampler, and reinstall it "fresh"?

Hi Michael, Regarding your questions:
It is not currently possible to go back to the 3D capture “Post Processing” once the model has been added to your project. If you want to create versions and create versions of your capture project you have to do it during the mesh processing phase, it is not possible to go back once it is added in the project. In your specific case, why would you want to do that? Are there times where you notice things after they have been added to your project and not before? Do you have any examples you could tell us bout so we understand the issue correctly?

Hi, Are you using a mac or a PC to process the data in Sampler? There is currently a limitation in the number of polygons exported when using a mac, but it should be better if you are using a PC already. Do you have a target in number of polygons you are/were trying to reach?
Sampler's photogrammetry features are currently target at scans of objects, and they are not made for assets of that scale/with as many details so it is possible that what you have acheived in your render is the maximum which can be acheived with Sampler today for your use case
