I missed nothing: Many people are interrested in the new NVIDIA GPU perfomance, in our case in the denoise AI performance and it is not a game changer, as my data show. I'm very confident that the here (from you) used benchmark will not show some different result. P.S. The there (my) used AI-denoise benchmark is also available for download, inclusive an "how to".

No 50-series NVIDIA cards tested yet. By @Karo Holmberg Logitech One RTX 5080 was already tested in my already several times linked forum , result: 19 seconds as compare 1) RTX 4090: 16 seconds 2) RTX 4070 Super: 26 seconds I have not mentioned a RTX 4080 result because there are no current test results available. (Older results are around 26 seconds which is outdated.)

Your built in GPU "Intel Arc(TM) A370M" is not (well) supported (by many applications, not only LrC), i.e. you bought something w/o prior investigation what you need ... How looks your system info? My one: "AI denoise optimized" GPU manufacturers in descending order: NVIDIA Apple AMD Intel (far away from the other brands)

If you want the AI-performance less than a NVIDIA RTX 4070 Super provides then go for a AMD 7900XTX. In the price range of an AMD 7900XTX I would go for an RTX 4070 Ti Super or the upcoming RTX 5070 Ti. Adobe AI denoise example: RTX 4070 Ti Super: 31 seconds 7900XTX: 35 seconds See the post from reedsmith and his later #399 post.

I have it, too. It's showing up for about half a second (with an RTX 4070 Super as work accelerator under Windows 11). Question to all attendee: Most agree that this is a bug but only 3 upvotes at the initial post? I don't get it.

Hello,
I have often to do a perspective correction.
1) For me it would make sense if the option
'Constrain Crop' at Transform (named 'Constrain to Image' at Crop)
would be active per default.
2) A other and may be better solution, introduce it to the
'Copy Settings' dialog box,
please see my picture below.
Thank you!

Thanks a lot, this works. I need it for my HDR images, for my panorama images and in the Transform tool for a lot of perpective corrections. At Transform it is named 'Constrain Crop' but is 100 % the same as 'Constrain to Image'. My workflow is therefore: Enable the feature at the 1st working step = crop. Michael

Hello, I have seen in some older photo-folders that my photo-crop selection is still present but the check box 'Constrain to Image' (Develop Module) is gone. No idea how this could happen. The LrC (14.0.1) included utility 'Copy Settings' has a 'Crop' section with two related check boxes but a 'Constrain to Image' check box is missing. Is there some other option to automatically apply this setting to several photos? Thanks! Michael P.S. If there is no option to do so, please introduce one.

I tested in the last days if the long lasting LrC "purple artifacts" bug is gone and yes it is (with LrC V 13.4) gone.

... As shown by Karo’s chart, the Max (and also Ultra) tier has enough GPU cores to achieve AI Denoise speeds competitive with good PC graphics cards. By @Conrad_C As I know your information is outdated. The LrC AI denoise is using the Mx included "Neural Engine" since 2024-05. e.g.: MacBook Pro M3 Max (14 / 30 C, 36 GB RAM): before 2024-05: 57 s since 2024-05: 48 s Several results are (as already above mentioned) here (dslr-forum.de) . Test conditions are in the start post.

I will skip LrC 13.3 because it has to many new bugs that may have impact on my data and it took almost one year to fix the X-T2 bug ... both is not "nice".

@UltimaGaina Thanks for your post. I recently made some DNGs with my Galaxy S22 (before update to One UI 6.0) and they are of RAW-type linear which LrC 13.1 is unable to process via AI denoise, what a pity! Do you have an option to get DNG files of mosaic RAW-type?

@Calicaruso Thanks for your upvotes, I guess you know that the initial post of a thread needs it most, i.e. only this makes it (the problem) better visible to those who take care of it.

@ahmadoooo As Adobe seems to release camera specific bug fixes I recommend you release a Canon specific bug report.

Fine, it would help other users if the dGPU is working fine for all features except the AI features. My laptop has a defective dGPU (1st post) and I never mentioned my display properties.

That's a mistake, I did not try the Adobe workaround because my one is 100 % working and the Adobe workaround may not or only partly work. I.e. I have no reason to test it.

Thank you johnrellis. Copied from your link, this chapter: Troubleshoot GPU driver issues while using AI-powered features like Lens Blur describes the required steps. The file 'DisableGPUInference.txt' has to be copied to some location and then all dGPU use should be off. I do not see a benefit to my workaround from above., i.e. I keep my "solution".

Your catalog data is with a very high probability not gone, i.e. the previously used V12.x catalog is still there: Lightroom Catalog-v12.lrcat the V13.0.1 is named: Lightroom Catalog-v13.lrcat No panic 🙂

LrC makes backups in *.zip files but if you copy your *.lrcat catalog file per hand as backup to some location then of course no unzip is required. The regular LrC backups are here (Windows): "...\Lightroom\Backups\2023-10-20 1607\Lightroom Catalog-v12.zip" This is an example of my last backup file from today, before I installed LrC V13.0.1.

Hi Luca, if some process version is working, why not using it and then thinking of a new Mac? A 10 year old machine is for a professional use case a much too old part ... it could fail any time. Addendum: Does your Mac run "macOS Monterey (version 12.0) or later", it is from late 2021? If not then your system is out of support, see Lightroom Classic system requirements .

My current workaround: Assign the CPU internal GPU via the Window 10 system setting to LrC, see picture (in German language). Result: LrC uses the CPU and ignores the iGPU ... (as planned: the dGPU is also no longer in use).
