Hi Rikk, Just wanted to let you know - I have updated this evening to Lightroom Classic 13.2 on Macbook Air M1 ( Sonoma 14.3.1). Tethered capture now works (with Canon R5) and does not crash on hitting OK (wether a camera is connected or not). Thanks for your help. David

My understanding was that Rosetta was a stop gap solution for applications that were not fully compatible with Apple silicon on introduction. Surely three years on that is not still the case - particularly for a company od Adobe's stature?

Hi Rikk, Not quite accurate - I provided crash reports (with your guidance) against this (my registered email) for Sonoma 14.3 and subsequently 14.3.1.

I have exactly the same problem using an new M1 MacBook Air running a new install of Sonoma 14.3 with a new install of Lightroom Classic 13.1. After entering Tethered Capture and specifying the file location I hit 'OK' - get a brief (1 second or less) 'Detecting Camera' popup before Lightroom crashes. This occurs whether or not my camera (Canon R5) is connected to the USB port and whether or not it is switched on. I have submitted crash reports (under this email) for this issue under both Sonoma 14.2.1 and (yesterday) after installing Sonoma 14.3. In both cases no camera was connected. In the previous Intel world this would have resulted in the 'Detecting Camera' popup just continuing to search.

Hi Rikk, How do I establish what email is attached to my crash reports? Then I will start a new thread as you recommend.

I have the same problem on a new M1 MacBook Air running OS 14.2.1 from scratch with a new install of Lightroom Classic 13.1. Whether my Canon R5 is connected or not, switched on or not prior to starting tethering, Lightroom Classic crashes as soon as you have chosen file destinations and hit OK. Correction - for a fraction of a second you see what I presume is the message over 'Detecting Camera' before crashing in all circumstances.

I am running Sonoma 14.2.1 on an a new M1 MacBook Air - so a new build with no legacy data and installed Lightroom Classic 13.1 . Tethered capture (with or withour a Canon R5 connected via USB) crashes Lightroom after specifying destination for files and hitting OK. After a few moments an Adobe dialogue box pops up saying 'sorry an error ocurred' with the option to provide an error report, which I have done. As suggested in a seperate thread I ensured that Lightroom Classic had full accessibility and file access permissions, however this did not resolve the issue.

After selecting a destination in tethered capture and pressing OK Lightroom Classic crashes and after a few moments I get the message 'Sorry an error has occured' - I have submitted the optional error report. I am running Lightroom Classic v. 13.1 (Raw 16.1) on an new M1 MacBook Air running Sonoma 14.2.1. The issue occurs whether a camera is attached by USB or not, when my Canon R5 is attached the same occurs (camera switched on or off). I have taken the advice of Sameer K in the thread above and changed the accessibility and file access for Lightroom Classic to full access - still the same result. Unfortunately Canon's EOS Utility which includes tethered capture is not yet compatible with Sonoma. So I don't have the option of using the Lightroom 'watched folder' as a work around. Tethered capture works with the R5 on my older Intel iMac with Lightroom Classic 13.1 (Raw 16.1) and Ventura 13.6.3

I had the same issue using latest versions of Lightroom and Photoshop (as of 10.10.23). If you select edit from the top menu bar then only the first selected lightroom image appears in photoshop. However if you right click (or control key on my mac) and choose 'edit in' then get all the selected images from lightroom appearing in photoshop. In both cases selecting the 'open as smart object layers in photoshop' option within the 'edit in' menu. Happy days!

Increasing image size from 100% to 200% results in blurred image in Library module.
Move to Develop module and image sharpens up.
Return to Develop module and the image stays sharp until you move the cursor in to the image area, at which point it returns to a blurred image.
Same image(s) in Lightroom Classic 9.4 remain sharp at 1:1,2:1 and larger.
