Never said that part was a bug Being able to add appearances to a group is fantaistic and saves time. But you forget to hold shift and it not work then have to always click undo a few times to get it to work again is becasue you cant just hold shift and retry becuse it will not work still. But i feel like it use to be holding shift would makit copy appearances, and not holding shift would copy the basic color

Holding Shift while clicking is not a valid answer, maybe for eyedropping solid colors bot not if you need to eyedrop a gradient. If you do this and eyedrop the gradient it will only pick the color in the gradent you selected.
I have tried to debug this over any over and so far ungrouping everything (which is unrealistic also) just to eyedrop doesn't alwasy work. Holding shift doesn't always work. What I did find if you double click the eydropper tool so its menu opens up, and you turn off "appearance" setting from both options, and the eyedrop tool works fine without having to hold shift. . The downside is that you will no longer be able to eyedrop anything and it copy the appearance of the object. For example if you have some artwork that has a transparcy or what not added to it and you need to copy it. Using the eydrop tool will not copy it and will only copy say the color at 100% without the appearance options added.

this is still an issue, Not a keyboard issue, reset peferances, no clipboard apps installed, SVG has been turned off for awhile because having that on greatly slows down work with somef files. Yet still not ways pasting after hiting copy and it only happens with illustrator randomly. I swear everytime they put out an update something else is messed up.

This randomly stopped being an issue with 28.0 and any way I would save a pdf didn't get this error, now with 28.2 its an issue again and have to save it a very spicific way. This is getting really annying that we cant update an app without it causing issue and adobe can help resolve it because they are usless

Every five damn mins it locks up and crashes. File size im working with is only 3mb...click on an object and bam crash... This is getting so old for something that costs $700 a year. every time a new update is put out i makes sure it is not set to auto update yet some how between work it updates and has issues then i have to revert back and resetup everything in my workspace to have it do it again. Im so sick of it. This company has gone. Customer servace is usless and never can solve the issue and will either give you some request or answer or stop responding completly...

What I ended up doing is when saving is setting Compatibility to Acrobat 7 which didn't work at first so I turned off all Compresssion and turned off Compress text and line art and it works fine now. also rolled back a version of illustrator becasue it was constaintly crashing and they told me the tipical bs about it being becasue im using a server...

I keep getting this error with the newest update, "an error exists on this page. Acrobat may not display the page correctly. Please contact the person who created the pdf document to correct the problem". I have no clue how to resolve this but it keeps messing up proof files. My coworker is having the same issue. Issue im having: laggy program, keeps saying not responding. getting error listed above. patterns will be missing from artwork and the last page will get that error and that page will have missing art/incorrect setup from illustrator. but when the file is opened in illustrator everything is fine. This is not a consistant issue either it happens randomly Here is an image of the issue. the first file of this the top right blank area had a solid black box and then i resaved and now its missing the art completly (added black on others to hide company name)

Illustartor has been so bogged down its taking for ever to get anything done. I have it set to use lowres eps fiels but i keep have to turn that setting on as illustrator turns it off on its own. Im not doing anything crazy with design so idk why this has been such an issue. Im running windows 10 with AMD ryzen 7 3800XT 8 core 64gb ram RTX 3060 ti
