Rob_Cullen Thanks for your reply! I don't have the raw files anywhere. I have a cloud backup but, these files were not backed up yet. I do have jpegs of the files, so it's not that big of a deal. I'll just have to be more careful in the future. Thanks again. Also, I just noticed my name is wrong. I'm not Jovial_JourneyB831. The picture is correct but, I am Bradley Buzan. I don't know how that happened.

Hi, I accidentally deleted a folder of raw files and was wondering if there was any way I could retrieve these files from Lightroom Classic backup files.

To RSPA904 et al. I have found if I select a gradient (map or fill) and do not select OK!! Just click outside the selection box and edit the gradient as you would normally do. The gradient preset should not duplicate.

Hi, I have been a Photoshop user for years and haven't had this problem before. When I use the gradient fill, it duplicates the preset. For example, I use foreground-to-transparent a lot, and if I use it ten times, I end up with eleven foreground-to-transparent presets in the menu. This only started with the last update, 26.1.0. Any help would be welcome. Thanks.

This is very bad. It's supposed to be a generative REMOVE tool and on rare occasions it does that, but most of the time it tries to replace it with something else. Photoshop seems to work well. Why not in Lightroom Classic? Also by coming out with this too soon, you've wasted a lot of people's time trying to use it.

Hi, started using generative remove a few days ago and the results were terrible! The problem seems to be the images had AI Denoise applied to them, hence they were in the .dng format. Tried on normal raw files, with no adjustments, and it worked fine.

8/12/2023 - I just updated Bridge and it works well! I quit using Bridge for a long time because it seemed buggy and that annoying "compact cache now" notification. I used it today and it worked like it used to a long time ago. Thank you!!

I tried PS Beta and really liked the new features. However, my browsers would become unresponsive for short periods of time. I was using Chrome and Brave browsers, and I thought my computer was malfunctioning, but as soon as I uninstalled PS Beta, everything returned to normal. I guess I will wait until regular Photoshop is updated. I'm using a Dell Inspiron 3670, Intel core i5-8400, windows 11 Home ver. 22H2.

Hello, The new Denoise AI takes 13min each photo in all three raw photo editors. I had some updates from Intel so I installed them and the time came to 8min each photo. All the videos I've seen on YouTube take about 15 to 25 secs. to complete. I'm using a Dell Inspiron 3670 with 500GB of SSD and 1000GB of HDD. Windows 11 Home Version 22H2. Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8400 CPU @ 2.80GHz 2.81 GHz Installed RAM 24.0 GB System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor My system is pretty old and I don't want to purchase a graphics card. Does anybody have any ideas?? Any help would be appreciated.

In ACR if I'm using any of the healing brushes I have the option to show or hide the overlay. Which is nice, I don't like the overlay. However, in LRC there is no option to turn off the overlay. I prefer using LRC over ACR except for this one oversight. I'm using a Dell with windows 11 home ver. 22h2 and everything is up to date.

It doesn't solve the problem! I've changed every cache adjustment there is in preferences, but it did nothing. I've had Adobe Bridge for over 5 years and this just started about 2 months ago (Nov. 2022)

I was putting glyphs from Desire Pro font into another font (Tangerine) and PS kept locking up. Had to restart the computer -twice-. I guess we're not supposed to do that, or I just did it wrong.

After opening PS and clicking the open button, PS quits working. The only thing I can do is open the task manager and end the task and try again. This only happens occasionally, but it is a pain. I've also tried to use the file>open option but it does the same thing. Using Windows 11 on a Dell Inspirion, and everything is up to date.

Hello again Rod, I forgot to mention that I've had Photoshop 2022 for a few months now and it was working fine until 4/12/2022. Adobe had an update and I installed it and that is when the problem started. Also, I'm running windows 11, Photoshop 2022 ver. 23.3 and I also have Photoshop 2021 installed. Another thing I was considering was uninstalling PS 2021 (I don't use it anymore) and see what that does.

Hello Rob, and thank you for your time. The first thing you mention is setting the default app for photos to Ps 2022. That means photos would open with PS when I double clicked on the thumbnail, I didn't want that, but I tried it anyway. I set PS 2022 as default, went back to a photo, double clicked and PS 2021 opened. Scrap number 1 idea. The second idea I had already did more than once. I go to Photoshop 2022 folder and select photoshop.exe, but everytime I end up going to PS 2021. Now here's a kicker if I open PS 2022 then go back to the photos and right click an image and go to open with photoshop 2021 the photo opens in PS2022. If I go to Bridge and double click on an image it opens in PS 2022. Ergo, I feel I have to edit the registry. Thanks for your ideas anyway.

Hello Ranjisha and thank you for your time. I went to the registry like you said and the info there said "C:\Program Files\Adobe Photoshop 2021\Photoshop.exe" "%1". However, I don't want PS 2021, I want PS 2022 to show up in the "open with" drop down menu. I'm not familiar with the registry editor, so I don't know how to change it to Photoshop 2022. I'm on windows 11 and Photoshop v.23.3.0. Also this just showed up after an update yesterday 4/13/2022, before that it was working fine.

When I right click on an image and move my cursor over the "open with" option, Photoshop 2021 shows up but not Photoshop 2022. This was working fine until today (04/12/2022) when I recieved an update to all of my Adobe apps. I've tried everything I can think of to correct this to no avail. Any suggestions would be very welcome. Thank you!

Tried to focus stack in PS 2022 and it didn't work. I had 9 images in Lightroom to stack and the only layers that showed up were background and layer 0. Did the same process but used PS 2021 (v22.5.6) and it worked fine. Is there a setting in preferences that I'm missing? Any help would be greatly welcome.

Hi Art M. LRC shouldn't be using 10.35G of memory! LRC (ver 11.1) uses 1.2 G of memory on my system. Even Photoshop uses less than 5G. I don't know what the problem is, but that sounds like too much memory usage to me. Good Luck!

Why are there so many fonts in the menu in Photoshop? It looks like there is a font for every darn language on the planet. I have only used about 10 to 15 fonts in the 20+ years I've been using the computer. Also there doesn't seem to be a way to get rid of any of them. I went to the main font file on my PC and tried to delete some fonts, but Microsoft had a warning that this would effect performance. I had the option to hide the fonts and I hid a bunch of them and guess what? I went to notepad and the fonts were gone. I went to word and the fonts were gone. I went into Photoshop and they were still there. Is that not amazing? Oh well, does anybody know how to get rid of the fonts I don't want. Or do I just have to live with this?

The latest update (10/25/2021) installed Photoshop 2022 and it was a little buggy (the scroll bars were not right, and my recent files were gone). However I noticed that Photoshop 2021 was still installed and working fine. This is great, maybe I'll get to keep version 2021 until Adobe gets the bugs out of version 2022.

Photoshop V. 23.0.0, Windows 10 OS V. 21H1, Build 19043.1288. When I open an image in Photoshop and make it "fit to screen" there are scroll bars (Hor. and Vert.). I didn't have those until I updated to V. 23.0.0 . Does anybody know why? I've tried several things, like reset the workspace, did view>screen mode>standard screen mode, nothing seemed to help. Thank you.

Aug. 3, 2021. The recent files showed up like magic. I guess Adobe screwed up and received enough complaints they fixed the problem. I almost downloaded Gimp, even though I really didn't want to learn a new system. Thank you Adobe! (I'll keep my subscription.)

Same problem here Rite_Oak. This is rediculous, I update to 22.4.3 and the recent file thumbnails is gone. The best answer is "go back to an older version". Really? Did Adobe hire goofball Trump or something? Oh well, I'll see if they can correct this, or I'll start looking for something better.
