Someone may have already posted this work-around but just in case: What seems to help is before you restart the program or your computer, see if Indesign will let you export to an IDML InDesign Markup format. WHEN IS ADOBE GOING TO FIX THIS ISSUE??!! This keeps happening. I've been running into this issue recently. Until Adobe decides to actually FIX the issue, something I tried that seems to work is to export the unsaveable file as an IMDL file. From what I can tell, I didn't lose anything when I opened it. My save feature also returned. I've only tried this once so far so no guarantees of consistency yet. ... View more
