@vanillalily the team says this is working as expected: "When both the clipping sheet and its underlying layer are selected, Paste and Paste in Place work correctly.
When only the clipping sheet is selected (without the underlying layer), the pasted content appears at the top-left corner instead of maintaining its position. This happens because the offset calculation for Paste in Place logic is skipped as it is dependent on the underlying layer, which is not selected for this scenario, so it skips offset calculations for clipped sheets and uses default offset. "

It's now turned off by default in the latest version. You have to go dig in the options to switch it on. This topic could be closed now. It's good how it works now.

This does not look like how Acrobat highlights words it finds. This is how it normally looks like:
What exact version of Acrobat are you using, and on what OS?

Hi @vanillalily does your workflow work on Ps release version? Is the only issue you have on this workflow with Ps Beta?
1. Try resetting Prefs for the Beta: /Users/yourname/Library/Preferences/ Photoshop Beta Settings (Mac Ventura) /Users/yourname/Library/Preferences/Adobe\ Photoshop\ \(Beta\)\ Settings (Mac)

C:\Users\user name\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop (Beta)\Adobe Photoshop (Beta) Settings
Launch BETA Photoshop While Pressing The Keyboard Shortcut With Photoshop closed, press and hold Shift+Ctrl+Alt (Win) / Shift+Command+Option (Mac) on your keyboard and then Launch Photoshop the way you normally would. https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#Manually
2. It may help if we could see your Photoshop beta System Info. Launch Photoshop beta, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.

Hello @vanillalily, Thanks for reaching out. There's currently no direct way to change the default color of the offset path created using the Object > Path > Offset Path option. By default, the offset path inherits the stroke and fill color of the original object, which can cause it to blend with the original if the colors are the same.
However, you can manually change the color of the offset path immediately after it's created. Here's how:
Create the Offset Path: Go to Object > Path > Offset Path and set your desired offset value. Select the Offset Path: With the offset path still selected, go to the Fill or Stroke options in the toolbar or Appearance panel. Change the Color: Choose a new color for either the stroke or fill to differentiate it from the original object. This method requires a manual step each time, but it allows you to distinguish easily between the original object and the offset path. Feel free to contact us if you have more questions or need assistance. We'd be happy to help.
Thanks, Anubhav

Select all before aligning has been a long standing hack to achieve the same result as align to canvas when in selection mode.
