Over 90 % of the images in my LrC Catalog are original RAW images from digital Cameras. I do not use DNG files in my normal workflow and I do not Automatically write Metadata to XMP.  I just used the Copy as DNG at import as a reason why Adobe does not retain the original raw image name in the DNG file created during the Denoise process.
