Hi, I'm using Photoshop 25.6.0 and after updating Creative Cloud, I am now getting the following pop-up that is appearing frequently, and even in the middle of a work session (completely wrecking my creative flow when painting). This is completely unacceptable for a product I am paying for. I know which verson I'm on and I don't want to update because of.. reasons. Why is there no checkbox to never show it again? I've set all of my notifications to off in Creative Cloud - including in-app notifications - why isn't that being respected? It sometimes feels like you actually want your customers to switch products.

Really pleased to read there's finally been some progress on this bug. I look forward to trying out the new update and thank you and the rest of the team for your open communication and efforts to fix the issue.

Hi Richard, thanks for trying it. Your settings there are exactly the same as what I have, only mine fixed the issue and I didn't need to reboot - I just quit/reloaded Photoshop. I'm sorry that it hasn't work for you and can only guess that there's something specific to my set-up/system that means it did the trick. For the record, I have a basic Logitech mouse and didn't install any specific drivers for it. It's just a plug and play. To confirm, I had the 'sticky' thing happening with absolutely everything. Marquee, Crop, Eyedropper, pan and even painting. Like you said, it was unusable for me too. I regret that my 'solution' doesn't work for everyone and can only wish you luck in finding something that works for you in the meantime. I daren't touch anything with my current install in case it breaks again! I certain;y won't be updating any time soon.

Had exactly the same issues. Absolutely unusable for me and it felt like like it was related to PS not knowing or detecting when the mouse button got released. Out of shear desperation, I changed my Windows double-click/lmb speed to the absolute minimum. Saved the settings, quit/restarted PS and I didn't have the issue again until I installed an update. Thought I'd gotten lucky with double-click change but modified it again (moved it up, saved it, moved it back to minimum) and the problem went away aagin. Haven't had it return for the past few weeks and I'm using 25.0.0 on Win 10. It's obviously a work-around and Adobe need to get this fixed ASAP but I've at least gotten my sanity back for a while. Suggest everyone at least tries it to see if it works (easy enough to do after all).

Updated to the latest version yesterday and the issue was back again. My previous fix of changing my mouse's double-click speed to the slowest setting obviously no longer worked but here's the thing, with Photoshop open, I adjusted the double-click speed again, applied, quit Photoshop and reloaded it. No longer had the sticky hand when panning, no longer does it hold on to the selection box or crop tool when you let go. For me, it seems like the easiest 'quick fix' to rid Photoshop of the bug. I used it all day today without any problems. From what I can gather - other people have found their own solutions to get rid of the issue so it's clear that it requires some kind of change to (whatever that might be) to stop the bug/issue from happening. All I can say is that for me, the issue was so bad it completely halted my productivity as I had to slow right down and keep clicking to successfuly exit an action. The double-click change has now worked for me with 2 different versions of PS so give it a go folks. Super easy to test.

I haven't spent as much time in PS as I'd like but so far, it's still working for me too. It must have something to do with the way Photoshop is or isn't detecting whether buttons are held down/clicked etc. Perhaps it's worth one of their tech team increasing "Double-click" speed to maximum (in Windows) so that they can try to reproduce the issue?

It may be a bit early to tell, but I've made one change that seems to have helped. I'll report back in a day or two but encourage others to try this: Go to your mouse properties in Windows (Win 10 for me), and make sure 'Double-click speed' is set to Slow. I've dragged it all the way to the left which as as Slow as is possible and have noticed a difference since doing so. Remember to restart PS! On a related note, I have a gaming mouse with a very high DPI/sensitivity, and I think I'm using generic Windows drivers for it as I don't need all of the additional fancy features. I may try installing a new driver for it but in the meantime, it would be good for others to try it out also.

Yep, it's utterly ridiculous that this one hasn't been investigated sooner. It's a showstopper for many, including me. When you're unable to even navigate the application correctly then what's the point of trying to be creative - and to think we're paying for this. I don't suppose you have a link to the other thread, please?

I also have this bug and have tried all of the recommended fixes but nothing has worked. Restarting Photoshop works temporarily but the issue returns. It's incredibly frustrating and a creativity killer. Interrupts workflow to the point that Photoshop is unusable for me. I have no idea why this hasn't been fully investigated yet - it's clearly been an issue for a long time now.
