@Sameer K i figured out the problem seems like. Got error code 0x00000124 "bsod" blue screen of death. Did some digging, and seems like my overclocking made it crash. Ive never crashed in anything the last 5 years with this clock until now when i started to use PS. Object selection tool blasts all the cores upon marking stuff in PS so thats the reason why i was crashing. So if you are overclocked try to revert to standard bios if your having the same problem. Hi Im having this exact problem. As soon as i try to use the Object selection tool, PS crashes my computer and restarts it. This happens in ps 2023 and 2024. Here is a list of what ive tried so far: -Turning off and on multithearded compositing -Turning off and on Use OpenCL -Turning off and on GPU Compositing -Switched selections processing to More stable -Turned off and on Use graphics processor Tried all of these none of them helped so i then uninstalled PS 23 and 24 and reinstalled them, updated windows 10 and switched to studio drivers for my 3080ti card and then ran the whole list back in every possible way. Still get the same hard crash, where it reboots by itself after clicking the object selection tool. Everything is checked off green in the graphics processor compatibility check, and i dont get any crash reports since its crashes the whole computer to a reboot. Any fix to this?
