I am a video teacher, and we are having the same problem, too. This never used to happen until this update. I have literally used "M" for markers for years and never had the dialog box open when the initial marker was placed. It doesn't seem to do it if the clip is highlighted, AND you hit M while the clip is playing. If the clip is not playing and I hit "M" it opens up the dialog box.
