Another method I might suggest is to use Adobe Camera Raw, or the Camera Raw Filter in Photoshop- 1) Convert to B&W (One button click) 2) Use Masking to find "People" and create individual masks for Hair and Lips, 3) make color changes with the Tone curve

No problem. Where a mask is white the associated layer shows. Where a mask is black then the layer becomes transparent and the layer(s) below show through. Where a mask is grey the the layer is semitransparent (controlled by how close to black or white the grey shade is). Dave
