Another Day, Another Bug. Most of my headshot clients wear glasses, so I thought—what a perfect opportunity to test Lightroom’s new Reflection Removal feature! Spoiler Alert: Lightroom Classic and Photoshop had other plans. The Issue I quickly realized Reflection Removal isn’t available in Lightroom Classic (LrC)—only in Camera Raw via Photoshop. Okay, annoying, but not a dealbreaker. I right-click the image in my LrC catalog, select "Edit in Photoshop", and once Photoshop opens, I go to Filter → Camera Raw Filter → Remove Distractions… and it’s greyed out. (Why is everything always greyed out when I need it most?) Clicking the little warning triangle links me to a page that says: "Note: Currently, the Reflection Removal tool does not support non-raw file formats like JPEG and HEIC." But wait—my file is a .CR3 (Canon RAW), as displayed at the top of the Camera Raw window. The Workaround Attempt Maybe the issue is that LrC is sending a working TIFF to Photoshop instead of the original RAW file. No problem—I’ll bypass LrC entirely and import the file directly from my hard drive into Camera Raw. Success! The tool is no longer greyed out. Great! Nope. Not great. Not great at all. The Results Camera Raw assumes there's a sheet of glass over the entire image, applying the Reflection Removal algorithm indiscriminately. The result? It looks like someone cranked Clarity and Dehaze to 200%. No professional photographer could ever consider this usable. This feature needs a lot more work—it's definitely still in its alpha stage. How to Fix It Adobe Devs, please: :white_heavy_check_mark: Let us manually select the area where Reflection Removal applies. :white_heavy_check_mark: Give us a slider to fine-tune the effect intensity. Further Testing Plan When I have time, I’ll try an alternative approach: Create two separate images—one image for each side of the glasses. Apply Reflection Removal in each image. If it works, I’ll overlay the processed lenses images onto the original image and fine-tune opacity for better control. I’ll report back with my findings, but for now… this tool is far from ready.

(I consider this a work-around and not a "Correct Answer")

So the only way to turn off SFX in LRC is to do it in your computer settings. I hope one day we are able to do this from preferences, or even better have all SFX muted by default and have the option for rediculous sound effects if you ant ( i dont beleive many people want SFX while editing but there may be some) Here is the only way as of Jan 2025 to disable SFX while you are editing. Mute Lightroom Classic Specifically (Mac & Windows) Mac: Open System Settings → Sound → Applications. Locate Lightroom Classic and set the volume to 0. Windows: Open Volume Mixer (right-click on the speaker icon in the taskbar). Find Lightroom Classic and mute it.

Adobe rep please come and tell us there is a way to disable annoying and distracting sound effects while we work. We just want to work without distractions. No one asked for photo editing softwear to have SFX. Its not a smart idea. Please dont force SFX on us. Take pity on us Adobe gods

Negative Ghost Rider, I have all of those already off. These Adobe clowns are forcing SFX on us while we edit. I swear I get more and more sick of all the Adobe apps with every update. I'm this close to finding an old copy of CS6 and terminating all subscriptions.

No one asked for sound effects in Lightroom. They are jarring and distracting, no benifit for them while I am editing. Has anyone been able to turn them off without going into my computer settings? That "swoosh" sound when deleting a heal or remove mark/point is infuriating! Please, devopers, we love metaphorical "bells and whistles" but we DO NOT want LITERAL bells and whistels going off while we are focued on editing.

All these AI Tools are laughably bad. Yes I know that this is new technology but it really needs more work before being put into adobe professional applications. It is rare that whatever results AI produces are considered "useable" in professional applications. I work in a team of photographers and we often gather around and share how baddly photoshop and lightroom AI remove tool is, like we want a post removed with nothing but blue sky in the background and the result is a headless chicken or a deformed human. Adobe professional photographers are laughing at you, this compiled with the distrust of adobe amongst the younger generations is not looking good for you all. bad,

Is this a MacOS issue? I prefer to use PC with Capture One but thats not an option here.
So I have a Canon R5 tethered USBC to a Macbook running Lightroom Classic,
Main display is my Macbook screen running LRC,
Second Display is on a production cart with 2nd ,monitor angled to subject on live view, display turned verticle.
I drag over the Live view to the 2nd display and size it to the screen,
I take the shot, live view shows the last capture,
I press live view again, live view window moves to my main main screen.
I rage
So simple question how to lock live view to 2nd display?

This happens to me all the time when trying to select an object. Super annoying. The only way to fix it is to close lightroom classic and restart it. Not a convienent part of the workflow.
