Hi i am using v 10.1.3. I tried with both lock turned on and off. by the way every time i launch the camera, the settings are reset. meaning, if i lock exposure. then close the camera, then open it again, its unlocked again, same with EV +/-. anyway, no matter what i do to lower exposure before taking a picture, the picture i get in the camera roll is much more over exposed than what was on the screen. maybe i should reinstall the app? i am on iphone

I mainly use LrC but recently have been really enjoying editing on my commute to work on my iPhone/Lr Mobile. And I have been using the built in camera in Lr Mobile because I like the idea of a truly RAW image without apple processing. I have gotten some really great images but most of the time the experience is frustrating and hopefully someone can chime in with some help.
I’ve tried “auto” and “pro mode”. In auto mode, if I lower exposure compensation to something I like on the screen and take the picture, the result is completely different. For example, I’ll make it -1.7 exposure before taking the picture. And then I go to the Lr camera roll, and it looks like it was taken with +3.0 exposure, super bright, over exposed, noisy. Even in broad daylight, not even low light. Sometimes randomly it will have good exposure or the exposure I set.
Also in “pro” mode, exposure compensation seems to have no effect. I even have tried manual mode shutter/iso, and most of my attempts produce some randomly different exposure, usually 3x as bright as I want, It’s as if when Lightroom mobile takes the picture, all the settings are ignored???
On a side note: in “pro mode”, exposure compensation has been stuck at -2.3. and every time I change it back to 0.0 or -1.0, leave Lightroom mobile, and come back, its back at -2.3. The whole experience doesn’t seem to work right.
Anyone else have this issue? I just want the image taken by Lightroom mobile camera to be what I saw on the screen before taking the pic.

I am new to lightroom and coming from Photomator. While photomator is more limited it is a pretty good lightroom competitor. one thing i miss from it going to lightroom is that in photomator you could have endless "layers" for each adjustment or mask. So you could put a preset. then make a new layer and then adjust sliders all over again. More importantly, if you used auto adjustments (which lightroom also has), you could then adjust the strength or effect/opacity of said auto adjustments. is there no way to do that in lightroom? i use auto very often as a starting point in lightroom. sometimes it gets it 90-100% right. sometimes it has the "right idea" but its WAYY too strong like overexposed, whites pushed too much. I want to reduce whatever lightroom did automatically 50% for example by just pulling a slider, but i cant seem to figure out a way except looking at every single slider in develop and by eye try to reduce by 50%. that is an extremely slow workflow

@droopydog500 thanks! this one works better! i think it must be a mixture of the prompt actually asking for the letter, and then that letter in the reference, and the sliders like you did, ill experiment with some others later today using your template!

hi @droopydog500 , thanks for trying to help!! i did exactly what you did above, with my link, and i get this lol! not even the same letter as in the reference and not same font. you got much better results. btw i tried two or 3 more attempts with the same settings, all kind of these random results. maybe i should not use chrome? lol. or Mac problem? but it's web based.. so strange. https://firefly.adobe.com/public/t2i?id=urn%3Aaaid%3Asc%3AVA6C2%3A43ac612c-97dd-49fb-8a4e-266df0c0de17&ff_channel=shared_link&ff_source=Text2Image https://firefly.adobe.com/public/t2i?id=urn%3Aaaid%3Asc%3AVA6C2%3A43ac612c-97dd-49fb-8a4e-266df0c0de17&ff_channel=shared_link&ff_source=Text2Image

@Monika Gause i've used @Dave Gustafson 's link/prompt and all i did was upload my own reference. the letter M in my own choice of font. I tried all kinds of sizes, and i tried inverting from black letter on white background, into white letter on black background, and this is the best i've got. still cant get what @Dave Gustafson got and i did exact same prompt just a different letter. i matched the ratio too. is there a specific output format i need to export when making the reference text? By the way i am exporting JPG from Photoshop. https://firefly.adobe.com/public/t2i?id=urn%3Aaaid%3Asc%3AVA6C2%3A5462e66b-4e2c-4a91-b1cc-2cdcc962de82&ff_channel=shared_link&ff_source=Text2Image

Hi @Monika Gause , im going to try now using @Dave Gustafson 's links and prompts but with my own letters to see if i can emulate, maybe i was doing somethign wrong with prompts or input aspect ratios as Dave mentions. and i will write with results!

THIS is what i've been trying to do for hours! following all these social media posts, and i kept getting results like OP. how do i make sure it works like you? Is it ALL about matching aspect ratio of reference and output? or are there other things to look out for?

Thank you for your reply! I wasn't asking for secret insider info, more like asking if anyone read anything official, maybe i missed something. So basically no one knows how it will work? Thanks!

So i recently got Photography 1 year plan and i read alot about the credits. It's still unclear to me what our future is. I thought it was "Once you run out of credits, you can continue using Gen AI but at a slower speed", and then people say it doesn't even get slower (i have not run out yet but i have only been using it for 5 days). Then i just noticed all the times they say "Limited time" in all the terms about Generative Credits.. like in my Adobe account under credits it says: "When you're running low on credits, continue generating content at no additional cost for a limited time. Learn More" or "For a limited time, Creative Cloud, Adobe Express, and Adobe Stock paid subscribers won't be subject to generative credit limits and can continue creating beyond their plan-specific monthly credit limit to create vector graphics or standard resolution images*." Does that mean eventually they will start to just straight up CUT OFF generative functions COMPLETELY if you run out of credits, not even let you do it "slower"? i just really need clarification on what's going on with credits. I don't mind "slower performance" if it means i can continue using Gen AI past my credits limit. But if one day it will change and all generative tools will be CUT OFF completely when you run out of credits, i would have to be a lot more frugal with my use of adobe products not to run out in the middle of a project and have to wait until next billing cycle to use it again. Is adobe going to eventually cut off gen ai features when you run out of credits? I feel like it would be fair for it to be unlimited, but much slower as to not clog up servers for people WITH credits.
