What is the exact AI version? Does the same issue appear in other programs?

Hi Alluring! Could you hide the top image, add some color on the BG layer, and then say what happens? I suspect the Image layer contains a preview, all elements are placed on the other layers.

could you please show the screenshot with the Layers panel expended? I have some assumptions but I need to see the doc structure to say something useful.

you can also prepare the photo in Photoshop: set a contrast as big as possible or use the Threshold adjustment option to make it strongly Black and White (no Grey shadows) and then use Image Trace in Illustrator. This is if you need only black and white shapes, no grays. If you want more photographic style, try different Trace settings for the desired result.

If I see well you take a color from the raster image. Is it so? If yes, check the Eyedropper settings and turn Off the main checkbox in the Pick Up column, keeping all other checks On. If the main checkbox is On, the Eyedropper takes the raster images as "empty" objects and fills/strokes them as None.

if you only need to redraw this third-divided circle with slightly (controllable) spreading gaps, you can do it quite fast. 1. Draw the circle, set the needed width. 2. Draw the line, set the width and profile, adjust the details with the Width tool 3. Select both, use Object > Path > Outline Stroke 4. Select top shape (former line), take the Rotate tool, set the rotating center at its smaller edge keeping Alt (Opt) down; When releasing the mouse button, you will get the Rotation Settings window. Set the angle to 120°. Click Copy. 5. Click Ctrl+D (Cmd+D) to repeat the transforming. 6. Select all and use "Minus Front" button on Pathfinder panel 7. Ungroup the result. Here you are. You can now fill each segment as you want, rotate the circle as you need etc.

please, give the alert text as a text in the message, not an image. Then non-Spanish users will be able to read it and try to help.

just to be sure: did you reset Preferences? It often helps with this kind of issue.

When you have an object selected, Option calls the Dimension tool for hovered objecs, yes. But why do you need to use Option and Shift together? Shift is enough. What's a reason to use them together?

Did you add the outer glow or white drop shadow to your main plate? The final image looks like if you exported the artwork without using artboards (= ALL content in the file), and the effect takes some space too.

great! actually, there are 3 profiles (settings): the Photoshop working profile, the AI working profile, and the doc's profile. So, maybe, somewhere in between something did not match 🙂

the first step is to check your color mode and profil. If you have a CMYK mode, the other (non-Adobe) viewers can convert the tumbnail into RGB (just for view in their window). If you have a printing probe with this bright color, check the color profile, it should be the same — in your Photoshop file, your Illustrator file and in the printhouse's technical requirements.

You can vote with your feet any moment. Nobody can take this right from you. But it's not the place for left-wing demonstrations, please share your "anti-capitalists" speech somewhere else. Monica showed you the right place for the feature request. Ok. You did not get an answer? There are many channels for contact to Adobe, but you continue to attack the peorle that are not Adobe staff and can't solve your problem. It's not reasonable. Or are you one of those who like to look for keys under a lamppost?

Here there are fields for Bleed (an extra space for safe crop of printed docs) and measure units (e.g. inches). Then you can select an Artboard tool and set the needed page size with any amount of decimal points.

This looks like the action takes each shape and connect its first point and the opposite point by line colored in the shape fill color (keeping in memory the shape' real paths). Could you please (just for experiment) try to use one simple shape, e.g. ellips ot star? It's certainly a bug but we could try to find the point when it starts to destroy the artwork.

Preview is not a real vector work; it just works with a raster "avatar" of your shape. I could not repeat the issue. Could you please show a step-by-step workflow? Your artwork before adding to mockup, then both selected, then a result. This can help to understand which step provides the problem. And which version of Illustrator do you use?

Please share a set of working files. You can put them on any file store (e.g., Google Drive, or any other that is good for you) and post the link here. The issue is quite complicated, and it's difficult to understand without seeing the working files.

This looks strange and not clear :-(. Please share one full set (for some less important image, copy, maybe without a part of image to be sure on copyright security): 1. AI copy of the original file (make sure that it is layered) 2. PDF file tha you created by Save a Copy command. 3. Original file that was created by the program, without your actions, during saving the PDF file. It looks bizarre, maybe the files themself can help to understand what it is.

Hi, do I understand you well? You Save a copy, and it changes your original file? Could you please show the screenshots: - the layer structure of any working file (the artboard is not necessary, just the Layers panel) - the Save a copy window - the Pdf settings window - the layer structures of the PDF file and the original AI file after saving a copy. Of course, it makes sense to create a copy of an original file (via Save As command) for experiments. With the screenshots it might be possible to say something useful.

If possible, please provide the original AI file. Sometimes there are issues when we export AI to SVG, but it's difficult to say something without seeing the workflow. In your case, I would try: - release the compound file and create some simpler units (e.g. just dog's head) using Pathfinder > Minus Front feature, and then group or unite it with the letters; - check your strokes and, if needed, expand them with the "Outline Strokes" command. Finally, you should have a set of black-filled shapes, no complex strokes (e. g. variable width), and no effects.
