You're right: I don't have a license. I don't have one because I canceled it when Adobe popped up its message that it would not open PS2025 (or PS2020 for that matter--please see discussions above).

The PS2020 did not require a subscription. When the problem began, I signed in to Adobe and signed up for a 7-day free trial, which would have been for the latest version of PS. Having done that, PS2025 loaded but would not open, giving the same error message as shown in a previous reply. At this point, I conclude that there's nothing more I can do w/ my current laptop and Adobe. What I would like now is to find out if anyone knows any alternative app that would work w/ my current laptop and operating system. Thanks.

There is an error message: We can't verify your subscription status. Regarding the irrelevance of whether Adobe supports a certain version of photoshop, perhaps I used the wrong term, because another message says this: macOS 14.6.1 or later is recommended... My operating system worked fine with PS until the day that the error message popped up. Since my OS 12.7.5 cannot be upgraded to 14.6.1, I'm hoping to find some similar non-Adobe photo product that will work w/ 12.7.5 or find some way to make PS 2020 once again work w/ 12.7.5. Thanks for your ideas.

Thanks for reading and thinking about my problem. If I can, I'll look into your question.

PS 2020 had been working fine w/ my MacBook Air on Monterey 12.7.5. Now it won't load. Presumably, Adobe and 12.7.5 are no longer supported. I don't seem to be able to update the Air beyond Monterey. What are my options besides buying a new computer? Outside the Adobe family, are there other apps that I could buy outright w/ comparable power to PS? Thanks much.
