I am having this problem now, also. At first, I thought it was just Illustrator but have since noticed the issue is constant in Photoshop too, and to a lesser extent, in InDesign. It's driving me crazy and making it such a pain to do the simplest tasks! I have a coworker with the same problem—we are using a different mouse and I have a graphics tablet.
