I have a work around that works, and it's just an extra step! After copying, I hit Ctrl+N, Esc, and then Ctrl+N again. Basically, the clipboard size is correct, however, the width and height of the new file don't get updated. This workaround works 100% of the time for me. Annoying, but at least it works.

I just noticed that when I copy something it puts it in the new clipboard, but not the width and height. If I hit Esc, and then Ctrl+N, it then updates the width and height to the correct clipboard dimensions. Annoying now, but at least it's better than having to manually type the dimensions in.

It was working fine all day, and then just suddenly stopped working properly. I've tried searching a few things, restarted computer, I even just uninstalled and reinstalled so I have the current latest version and I didn't save any previous settings. Bascally, no matter what I do, when creating a new document it makes one from previous width and height details. When I copy something and go to make a new document, the current clipboard dimensions are displaying. I usually would just hit enter and it would make the correct size new document. Now, even if click on the clipboard icon, it always makes whatever is displaying in the width and height box. Windows 10 PS - 23.4.1

I just made a post talking about the same issue. Got a new computer and had to install a new version of photoshop and thought there was a setting I messed up. I've been using Photoshop easily for 15+ years now, so I'm not sure why anyone would have thought a change like this was a good idea. If anything, save/save as should have been left the same and the save copy should have been the new option. Deleting current version and installing old version now

I've been using photoshop for forever. I just got a new computer and installed the newest version of phosothosp, and now when I go to save a file, it only has .psd, .psb, .pdf, and .tif as options. In the past, saving a file would give me like 15 options of files to save. I finally just figured out that if I right-click and merge all the layers that it will give me the option to save as a .jpg, png, and all the original options I'm used to having. Is there a setting I can change to fix it so it works like it's always worked for the last 15+ years I've been using it? I know it's not the end of the world but it's bothered me enough to take the time to create a post about it.
