Hello. I don't use the Typeface app, just the standard native Font Book app from Apple. Most fonts I'm using are Adobe fonts, aside from a few exceptions. Lets see how this goes. Already understood that most of this is related to the fact that I'm using a 2015 iMac, so i'm already looking into getting a new machine. This one did well for many years but it's time to move on. I'm that kind of user that just wants his tools working and the thought of having to delve into the nooks and crannies of the system gives me chills. I'm extremely frustrated at this because in ages I never needed to go into forums and communities because stuff just worked, specially on a Mac where an app crashing was as likely as an asteroid hitting a mosquito so, this recent cascade of bugs is ennerving, affects my productivity and my workflow. I know my machine is getting old, and I plan to replace it along this year. Maybe I'll just be reverting to the previous version of AI and hope for the best.

Like I said, It's been over 10 years I don't have a printer in the office. NEVER, but NEVER, this has been an issue with AI or any other Adobe software. It's only since last release this has begun to happen. I never got a warning from AI telling me it needs a printer to run smoothly, nor it never did. Plus, we're in the Digital Era, with thousands of users working almost solely for web content, without any need for a printer. Myself, working both for web and paper, use exclusively PDFs for the validation process with clients and the problem is not having a printer?

Thank you. Already checked off the SAVE IN BACKGROUND option, although the issue here is when opening files, not during save. Like I said, these is happening both on local machine and dropbox (cloud). Concerning the printer, I haven't used a printer in the office in 10 years.

Its not a matter of "won't". Like I said, I've reported countless crash reports, and my time to simply stop my work and look into this propperly is close to non-existent. In answer to your colleages question, the issue happens with random folders, random files, both on local machine and cloud files. And this is not something that happens ALL the time. It happens when it happens, and today it already happened 4 or 5 times, so its not something I can replicate at will.

Listen... I have a tremendous amount of work to get done. I've been reporting these issues for months, using the crash reports and never got a single line of feedback. Simply, I don't have the time to go on safe mode trials and whatnot. I want the bloody thing to work propperly, like it did for years. I'm pretty sure there are many more users reporting these kinds of issues, I can't be the only one. I have another thread open with similar issues affecting InDesign, that more people aknowledged they are experiencing, so this is CLEARLY an Adobe issue that needs to be solved. I need this working, because I have work, that pays my bills, that in turn allows me to keep paying you for a damn stable software, and not the mess this has become.

Aside from several issues related with InDesign, which are being addressed, I have been experiencing several issues with AI, namely the latest version 29.3..1 My machine specs are in the screenshot below. The most common issues I've been dealing with are: 1. Often the app stops responding while opening documents. Not necessarily large documents. The beach ball cursor pops up and enters the endless spinning loop, document never opens and I have to force quit and reopen the app. 2. While working on a document, menu options cease responding. For example, if I want to create a new document, it wont respond. I can still move stuff around but actual actions simply stop responding. App has to be closed and reopened. 3. App simply crashes, randomly. Just like with Adobe InDesign, these have become more and more frequent with the latest releases. These happen both with local files and Dropbox cloud files. Hope you release a patched up version for this because overall, its becoming harder and harder to pay for things that keep exploding on my face.

Funny enough, I just dug on my FF try-outs folder that goes back to the first day I got acess, and this was the result of a prompt using the word "ZOMBIE". These days I can't get anything remotely similar, and this was back in 2023.

Maybe a year ago I reported that the word "Zombie" was being blocked in Firefly. Funny, because in the first version of the app, the word was accepted, and then it was not accepted anymore. Today I decided to try again, see if the good folks at Adobe had come to their right mind senses and allowed the word in the prompts. Tried different variations because I thought the problem might be the word "invade", but not. I prompted "Zombies in pink suits" and it was also blocked. Its seems its still not allowed, and this baffles me beyond comprehension. Is it offending anyone? Did any undead complained or filed a report? Seriously... someone give me a straight answer because this doesn't make any sense. PS: Funny enough, the word "Undead" is not blocked and "Undead" seems like a heavier word when compared to "Zombie".

The crashes are completely random and can might not even happen with the same file. I will send a crash report whenever it happens, it wont take long.

I've been getting the error "SOMETHING WENT WRONG, etc" when trying to generate images requiring drawing/illustration style prompts. I make some tweaks in the prompt but the problem persists, solely when trying illustrative type results (instead of photographic results) Anyone else getting this?

Hello. Machine specs below. I know its an old machine but if the apps are still compatible, I will be using it until is absolutely necessary to upgrade. The crash happens with different documents. At least 4 out of 5 times, when closing a doc after saving, the app goes down. No plug-ins installed. I mostly work with Dropbox based documents, but issue ocasionally occurs on local. Also, since previous versions I have experienced another issue, in which the app stops responding when quitting, meaning that I have to force quit before shutting down (this also happens with AI and PS).

Immediatly after installing the latest InDD release, the app began crashing randomly, specially after saving and closing a document. This happens 4 out 5 times, which means I'm constantly having to re-open the app. InDD was already displaying several performance issues in the previous releases, but this is more than I can take.

I still rely on the browser based version of FF to get decent results, because the generative AI tool in Photoshop is still far to give me the same results I get on the browser version. But now you're imposing a credit system to upscale the results and download? To users that are PAYING for the apps? I'm paying the full Creative Cloud service and still have to worry about credits using FF on the browser? WTF Adobe? This is not cool. Not cool.

So this is an issue that has been poppin' up every once in a while. Out of nowhere, the left tabs stop displaying the options, specially the CHARACTER and PARAGRAPH tabs. I can unfold both tabs, but there are no options in them (see attached). Other tabs remain active and available, but these two, of the most important, just cease working. I quit and restart the app, and the problem persists, and I end up having to reboot the machine. I'm on a late 2015 iMac running Monterey. Adobe apps are becoming a mess of instability. I've reported dozens of sudden crashes, troubleshoots. 8 out of 9 times, InDesign crashes when quitting, which is funny but not really. Getting tired of this.

So, since we cannot use copyrighted IPs (which I fully support), I was trying (just for fun) to make an image of something that ressembles Gollum. I know that prompts can be refined, and these results are what I got after a series of atempts (one of them gave me some sort of white bird with a human head, for some reason). Below you can see screenshots of the results I got with v2 and v3. Exact same prompt. Exact same presets. We are being fooled into believing that Firefly is a rock solid, ethic alternative to MidJourney and all the others, but I'm really losing faith. Everytime I use a prompt that is more specific, with more details and features, 70% of those words are simply ignored. The app can't compute a descriptive and complete prompt without giving me absolutely bonkers results that are nowhere close of what I'm looking for. You gotta step up your game Adobe... This is going nowhere.
