Were you definitely trying to import them as brushes (.abr) and not another type of preset (shape, gradient, pattern, style).   I hate actually installing presets, because you lose control of the process.  Much better to download the files and place them in the appropriate preset folder.  In fact I go a step further, and keep then in a (Windows) My Documents folder, and place a shortcut to that folder in the preset folder.  This keeps them safe from major update issues (we get a lot of posts fropm people who have lost the brush presets after an update) and makes it easier to share one set of presets between the Release and Beta versions.   https://helpx.adobe.com/nz/photoshop/kb/preference-file-names-locations-photoshop.html   ... Thanks a lot!   [1] Uncheck option "Allow Document Pages to Shuffle" [2] And as I tested this you also have to drag the area where the prefix of the parent page name is visible. Worth noting. Most modern data files seem to be sorta-XML-based and usually-ZIPped-for-your-convenience — All of the MS ***X files, EPUB, IDML, etc. There are archive managers that have them listed as valid archive types for further convenience (no renaming etc. needed) and I suspect there's a good universal app out there somewhere. You can search for an endnote marker (and footnote markers) In Find/Change, use ^U (also selectable from the drop-down list under Markers). That should find and let you delete any stray markers you missed in integrating your notes.   However, as Barb says, you can just delete the generated content and frame and it will have no further effect on your doc. Best if you can eliminate the source/cause,  but it's harmless otherwise. ... View more

I put notes on the pasteboard but in a non-printing notes layer. A textframe with a large left and right inset amount could touch a page edge but yet show no imaging nor text. I didn't know Bridge had a shortcuts editor. I know the AI one quite well. Also I no the lack of shortcuts editor in Acrobat is a major failing. Especailly given that the latest version got rid of the customisable ribbon at the top of windows where we could add frequently used commands. And the fact that it actively blocks the macOS shortcuts in Systems Settings which you can normally use for apps that refuse to build their own shortcut editor! By @Alastair L   I myself only learned about the new Bridge keyboard shortcuts editor just recently on another forum.   As to Acrobat then yes its UI is notoriously lacking. Fortunately, we can still disable the disastrous "new Acrobat" UI. I think once you disable it, the ribbon functionality will be restored?   As to the shortcuts, I'm sure you know that Apple's own keyboard shortcuts facility in System Settings is so lame it's not worth dealing with anyway (in my view, at least). You can use various 3rd-party macro utilities to add keyboard shortcuts in Acrobat (as you may know anyway). Keyboard Maestro is powerful but not free. There's also Karabiner Elements, which is free and praised by users, but I've never used it.     ... View more

There is another workaround, one that's a bit fragile. By using a stack of two paragraph styles, the second with zero leading, you can get two paragraphs on one visual line. All the sorting out of horizontal spacing and flow remains, but for some select situations, this "zero stacking" can solve a layout problem.     In this example, the blue text is 12/14 with no additional spacing, and the red text is 12/0 with 1pc below. Each is a separate paragraph and para style, for what value that might have for other formatting, indexing etc. needs.   A quirky solution but it does work and I have found it to be of use. ...
