Trying to draw with the Pen Tool on the Opacity effect. Starting to draw creates a dashed line instead of a solid mask path. Also, the Mask is not created in the ECP and clicking away on the panel makes the Mask disappear in the Program Monitor. Beta version 25.1.0 (build 56) Also using a version with Smart Masking enabled

Great idea and you're right that editing multiple dialog tracks is becoming more frequent.

I prefer Darkest, Reduce contrast. I don't switch between themes. I do not miss anything. The new design is bold, simple and modern. The only thing that's a little more difficult to see is the small icons in the Output Mapping prefs. The thin white lines get lost and you can't tell that the first icon is a speaker with sound waves emitting.

LOVE IT! This makes working with everything, not just masks easier. But I always gotta ask for more: 1. Hold Spacebar for Hand tool like AE 2. Scrollwheel zoom in the Program monitor. (I'll ever take the fixed increments)

Yes, turning off scale and rotate and having the tolerance lower is MUCH better but...there are still many bugs that exist going back to when this was launched. See above: How am I supposed to accurately grab a point with the hand tool? And, grabbing a point will add a point about 50% of the time instead of moving it. Don't get me wrong, I love the update but there's still much to do. And yes, I've mentioned this stuff for a long time.

RE: Compute Lip Sync Yes I selected the same way but I still recorded lip sync to characters that were not selected. As far as deleting tracks, I have never been able to select any of these to delete. Plus I have no idea why I have so many, or what their function is!

The characters need to interact with each other verbally so it was easier to do that in a Multitrack Audition Project.

Oh okay, it never occurred to me to record new movement. That worked but... When I compute the new lipsync, I am not sure how to isolate the correct character. In one attempt, all three were saying the same thing. All three are working now but I know I will have to edit the audio and recompute. What I did: 1. Select the character 2. Select the appropriate audio 3. Run the compute I think I also need to disable the record property for lipsync on the ride side settings for the other 2 characters? Also, do I need to mute the other audio playing on the Timeline?

But what about the characters? If the original Li'l Drop was 2 minutes long and I only have 2 minutes of webcam captured for that character, but now the new audio is 3 to 5 minutes long. What does the character do, visually, for the extra duration? Yes the mouth will move, but what about the eye gaze, head movement, etc?

Ok, I'm editing the dialog in Audition on three separate tracks with correct timing, no problem. Then I will compute each track for new lipsync. Question: Will that compute also extend the duration of each character track? Right now each duration is much shorter, so new lipsync compute is going to extend each character and add "something" when the characters aren't speaking.

I have these 3 wonderful characters but now I have to edit together each performance. The hard part is, each actor read their part with no space or timing for the others. Plus, the water drop actress (Li'l Drop) couldn't read so her father had to speak each line before she said it so I have every single line from him I have to take out! Yikes. Question: What's the best way to tackle this? How do I make a seamless performance with each character looking natural when they're not speaking? This is a very important public service video that I'm working on that will be shown at Queen's Park in Toronto by a very important MPP! (no pressure)

I ended up pointing the camera to a large 27" LCD display that was showing camera playback. Not ideal but it worked.

Actually, after looking around on the Razer forum, it seems to me like the only software that works with it is OBS and XSplit. Wouldn't that indicate that the connection is proprietary? Meaning, without their "secret sauce" it's not going to show up in Character Animator.

No, it doesn't show up. Plus, since updating to 2.0, the video feed is also not available.

Is there a reason why Character Animator does not see my Razer RIPSAW game capture card as an audio device? OBS uses "Video Capture Device" which handles the audio just fine so I know I'm getting audio. FYI the RIPSAW converts HDMI inputs to USB3 to the computer. Game Capture Card - Razer Ripsaw I'm using this workflow to allow to record to my Blackmagic Cinema Camera then play that back to capture with Character Animator. I sure would like to just be able to point to a media file and capture that way!

I found the Right Eyeball was missing the Tag for Right Pupil Range. Once I clicked on it, the eye moved correctly. THANKS!

Layer naming is correct. Left and Right pupil movement is correct for the right eye. Puppet behaves well except for the forward eye position. As you see in the image below, the right eye moves upward but sometimes it also looks forward in the correct position. Earlier I accidentally had the right eye selected when I used the Pin Tool to add a fixed point. I have since deleted that point and added a new one with the Character selected. Any help to get that right eye to stop looking up is appreciated.
