Is this on Mac or Windows or both? Also, we changed the behavior of PNG saves, because some users wanted profiles and some didn't, when you first save as a PNG the checkbox for profile will be unchecked. Checking the Include Profile manually on the first file, should then, save future PNGs with this checkbox check automatically. If you aren't seeing that behavior, then this is a bug. I tried BTA-1138's action with show dialogs on and all of my PNG saves had the checkbox marked. So try saving a PNG manually and click the Include Profile and then run your action. This setting should remain sticky across sessions.

Nadia-Can you send me a file that shows the bug? I'm not seeing the problem. Also when does the error occur? When you try open Save for Web or when you save files from Save for Web? -Tom Attix

I can reproduce this Jed, writing it up as bug. For the mean time, you can use the Merge Shapes popout menu in the layers panel. Thank you for reporting it. -Tom Attix

It's definitely a bug, your settings shouldn't change unless you change them.

Glenn- I can reproduce this. On my machine it resets to the Color Preferences I have set in Bridge. Do you use Bridge, if so, could you try it and see if it happens on your machine as well. If it does, you can set your Bridge preferences to to your desired Photoshop settings as a work around while we fix this. Thanks for reporting it.

If you go to Preferences/Tools/ you can select "Use Shift Key for Tool Switch". This will require only the Letter for selection between tools but will require SHIFT-Letter to switch between tools in the same toolbar slot. So if you have the Move tool, selecting B brings up the current brush tool but pressing B again will not select the next brush, but SHIFT-B will.

Other than rewriting the script, there is no way to do this in the UI. You can write over the existing name but there's no way to make it come up blank.

I would use the Generator feature in Photoshop. You can name each artboard to indicate multiple file sizes and multiple output file types. Create image assets from layers in Photoshop

The CMYK color space is for 4 color printing. Anything you create for IOS should be in an RGB color space. The correct profile is sRGB. So, in your case, your image was already in sRGB so conversion wasn't required. Try saving without the conversion and see if the image looks correct on an iPhone.

Pete- Something looks a little weird. The 2 histograms have different Means and Standard Deviations, which would imply that they aren't quite the same image. Any chance the color profile is different in the second screen shot? -Tom Attix

This may not be the answer you're looking for but if it looks good in 32bit, just take a screen shot and work with that. There's no way currently to directly translate 32 to 16 bit, but that is a good idea for a feature.

Photoshop has a scalable UI, but that doesn't mean your plug-in does. The Nik plug-ins probably only have a fixed size for the UI and that UI was designed for old lower resolution monitors, so on your screen it's tiny.

CS 5 does not have a scalable UI, so when you increase the pixels to inch ratio of your monitor ( a 4K monitor has tiny pixels) the UI appears smaller on screen.

You'll need to use Save As..(JPEG) as opposed to exporting. Exporting via Quick Export or Export As.. both strip that portion of the metadata.

Elanagr- I would look at the Performance section of the preferences and see if Use Graphics Processor setting is checked. You might also want to check and see that both machines are running the same version of Photoshop. Artboards is a newish feature and has had many changes over the last few versions.

If you're trying to clip the image to Rectangle 1, the image has to be on top of the rectangle. Currently it appears that you've clipped the image to layer 1(which is the size of the artboard), and the placed a white square on top of it. You say the image has to be behind Rectangle 1 but as long as you have it set up the way you do, Rectangle 1 isn't going to allow you to see the image unless you hide the layer or set it to 0 opacity. I suspect your layer panel should look more like this:

The work around for the problem you've run into is to Save the file as a PSD and then check the Shrink Canvas on Save in the Artboard Behavior Options (the little gear icon). This forces Photoshop to update the canvas size to only fit the current contents of the file. This only applies to Save, so you'll have to save the file and then Export to Save For Web.
